Clean room with a kitchen. Parking is on the street. I got one right in front. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Unfortunately there was an emergency plumbing issue but they were nice enough to find me a replacement place to stay right next door. Which was clean and convenient

We took a 12 day family trip and visited multiple towns in Alaska. The Sauerdough Lodging was one of our favorite guest houses because the location was amazing and the hosts made it the check-in and check-out process so easy. Our host communicated early and anticipated our arrival, unlike the other guest houses we visited. I juggled plane travel, train travel, shuttles, and lodging for my family, and I appreciated their proactive communication to ensure everything went smoothly. I’m very pleased with our experience, and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

This place was so adorable and cozy. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to restaurants (Highly recomend The Flamingo for dinner) and the Rowdy Radish downstairs was great for coffee and breakfast. The building is obviously old, but it added a neat charm. The owners were very good with communication and very helpful. (Shoutout to CS!) Wonderful place, highly recommend. Will definitely stay again someday!

This was a great stay in Seward! We didn't have a ton of communication from the host when our travel plans changed, which made for some anxiety on my part. On arrival, the location was walkable and it was easy to find, there was about 15 stairs to walk up to access the property. Inside, it was quiet and clean, and very cozy. We appreciated the information sheet with suggested activities and dining options. Tanis, the staff member on site was so friendly and welcoming! She suggested some other stuff to do around town and some dining options as well. These accommodations were excellent for walkability, and so close to the free shuttle as well. The room was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe there. It was a bit of a hassle getting up the stairs with large suitcases and a travel stroller, but it is doable. We'd stay here again.

This is a unique place. Probably not a good idea for people with mobility issues with the stairs and claw foot tub. The location is convenient to tourist areas and restaurants.

Traveller

Large apartment style room. Full-size kitchen with cooking and serving ware. Clean and Comfortable. Away from the cruise liner and pier traffic. Right in the middle of downtown Seward. Parking is a bit of a hassle being downtown. Highly recommend.

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable- linens provided were clean and plentiful. We didn’t use the kitchen but it had the necessities. There is a bit of a musty odor- air fresheners tried to mask it but they were too strong for someone with sensitivities to scent. Otherwise good location and cafe close by was very good!

Location was great....easy to walk to shops, restaurants, aquarium and stroll along waterfront trail. We stayed in the Wilderness Suite. Great having a kitchen, nice den area. However, if you plan on anyone sleeping on the futon in the den be aware it is hard a brick. Also double check to make sure linens are in the room for futon....we discovered very late our first frst night there were no linens. Also, as noted by others, it is an old building which we liked, but if you are looking new motel feel, this is not your place.

Vintage and clean, but tiny.

Hotel is a vintage building. Room was small but very clean. Bathroom was vintage but water pressure and temp were fine. It took awhile to get into the building and reach our room because we couldn’t get someone to answer the phone and give us the entry code to the building and our room. Picture on website was not an accurate representation of our room. Would not recommend if you have difficulty climbing steps.

It was a turn of the century building that fit our needs quite well. There was no bedroom and the doors were quirky, but the claw foot tub and comfy bed and futon were welcome. The history of the place was palpable.
