My friend and I chose this hotel because we loved the water view, and thought the decor looked so much more interesting than the drab, cookie-cutter neutral-colored rooms that you get when you go to most other modern hotels. The Edgewater had so much character and we loved it a lot! It had the vibe of the Pacific Northwest that we, as tourists, wanted that we felt was absent from a lot of the other places we looked at in the city. And I don't mean that in a "this is stereotypical" way, because the decor in this hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the lobby was so unique! If you're looking for a colorful place with a lot of unique history this is definitely going to be a great experience for you.
After looking at the pictures of this online, I wasn't just excited to go to Seattle, I was also just excited to stay at this hotel, which never happens for me. And it didn't disappoint when I got there. The view was beautiful, the staff was so polite and helpful, the food was great, and even the gift shop was stocked with unique items. Even the lobby itself was an experience. The view is amazing and it's a fantastic place to hang out and have a drink. Especially for watching the sunset. There aren't many hotels that you can say that you are actually excited to return to at night because they themselves are an experience. Watching the sunset every night from the lobby is one of those moments.
I really did love staying here, and would consider coming back and bringing my parents her
