The setting in the middle of a park makes it so easy to walk out the door for a hike. The restaurant is great and their coffee menu in the morning is a suprising.
It is a WOW! What a hidden treasure! If you love art or nature or just a good cocktail- go stay at the property! Room is so cozy! Bed comfortable! Grounds gorgeous! Staff is friendly and helpful! For sure will visit again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The room was wonderful, the staff were accommodating and friendly.
A unique boutique hotel set in a national park, beautifully restored from a former Catholic seminary. The renovation preserves history while creating a calm, elegant space.
Only 20 minutes from Seattle, yet it feels like a true escape — quiet, peaceful, and grounding. Clean rooms, comfortable king bed, great shower, good coffee, and convenient parking. The staff is attentive but unobtrusive, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
The only small improvement I’d suggest is crisper bedding presentation. Also, keep in mind the kitchen closes after 10 PM (bar for drinks only).
Overall, a special place to slow down and reset. I would definitely return.
This is my 3rd stay at the lodge. Staying at the lodge is such a peaceful pleasurable experience. All of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful.
Everyone was so nice and very accomodating to our requests. The food was delicious, although we felt the menu was limited in selections, many of which we did not know really what it was. The building and grounds are fabulous with lots of walking trals, unique history, and lots of showcasing of art. we loved the library!
The location in a beautiful park setting and the historical building along with excellent food and drinks on property made this a lovely place to stay.
Its a beautiful property, exceedingly quiet and clean. It isn't near much in terms of activities and things to do. Lovely place to go spend time with family and have a quiet time. I did not like the light in bathroom goes on automatically in the night when you get up, wakes everyone in the room up. Great comfy beds as well.
Really well maintained property with great onsite restaurant and two additional bars for drinks and food. Hotel has artwork on display throughout and a library for reading and board games. Great hiking trails and a large and engaging playground if you have kids.
It was a very relaxing stay, the rooms are as they are in the pictures. The staff were great.
My only feedback is the restaurant food. It was fine, but over priced and nothing too unique.
This is a very different and unique (in a good way) hotel. Love how quiet and serene it is. Facility is amazing. The ability to take a morning hike and see Lake Washington is fantastic. The gym was small but well equipped. Room bathroom was like a spa.
