"This is a very well maintained, modest hotel in a lovely part of town. The staff is very friendly and accommodating but note that the reception desk closes between 10:30p and 6:30a. The hotel is small and not spectacular but for a simple, straightforward stay in Heidelberg on a charming square (with a farmers market some mornings) it’s really exceptional. "
"I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! It was nice, clean, conveniently located, quiet, and had a/c which was great during the hot summer weather. Staff were pleasant and helpful too. "
"Wonderful staff at the front desk and breakfast area. Clean hotel, amazing view, very easy do walk to interesting shops, scenery, restaurants etc. We would come back!

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent value and amazing breakfast, perfect if travellling by train. Very good wifi and comfortable room. Thoroughly recommend. The old town is about a 25 min walk away ."
"We arrived before check-in from the US, and the team did a great job arranging an early check-in for us. The bed was very comfortable, the room was impeccable, and the hotel was very quiet. Unfortunately, my husband broke his wrist during our stay while hiking. Not only was the German healthcare system excellent, but the staff did a great job accommodating our extra night’s stay. "
"The Boarding House Heidelberg is the perfect location for you to stay and explore the delightful city. The apartment was spacious with great decor, spotlessly clean, crisp white linen and a large comfortable bed. Only criticism would be the terrible pillows - suggest much better ones needed.
The apartment also gives you a spacious bathroom with powerful shower and hairdryer. The small kitchen area is fully equipped with all you need to rustle up food, a fridge, kettle and coffee maker with very good supplied coffee bags, whitener and sugars.
The room was very quiet with the windows closed but maybe noisier if they were needed to be open.
The lovely lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our motorcycle in the underground parking.
This place is a bargain price but offers so much, we would definitely recommend and stay here again. "
