The Wedding Cake Garden Suite

    An unforgettable Savannah vacation can be spent in one of the city’s most photographed and famous homes – the Wedding Cake Mansion, Garden Suite. This luxury street level (no stairs) suite, exudes historic elegance in furnishings and original architectural details and two over-sized bedrooms each with king-sized beds. Enjoy your own patio and the Mansion’s courtyard with its imported Italian statue, Flora, the goddess of flowers.

    PARKING OPTIONS:



    1. Luxury Living Savannah has 4 privately reserved parking spaces that are available to our guests for rent. We charge $20 per day, per space and this will be added to your reservation charges. Please arrange for this at time of booking and provide vehicle tag number & state.



    2. This property (and all downtown Savannah) has metered, on-street parking Monday through Friday, free on Saturday/Sunday. The City of Savannah uses Meter Pay Stations or coin meters.



    You can download the APP "Park Savannah" for easy payments from your phone.



    Visitor Parking Passes are available for 24hours/$15.00 and 48hours/$24.00. Passes are available at the City of Savannah Parking Services Office (100 East Bryan Street) from 8am - 5pm. Please call in advance to schedule a time to visit office.



    The City of Savannah strictly monitors meters and aggressively ticket vehicles. They will also tow unattended vehicles parked in private parking lots. Read all posted signs and be aware of restrictions. City street sweepers clean on certain nights. Please read signs posted on all blocks regarding sweeping schedule and move your car accordingly.



    Getting Around:

    Walking is the best way to get around as we are just a few blocks from everything the city has to offer. We are a 3 minute walk or .1 mile to Forsyth Park. We are a two minute walk or 450 feet to the famous Mercer House. We are a ten minute walk or .5 mile to Chippewa Square. We are a 14 minute walk or .7 miles to Broughton Street with lots of shopping and restaurants. We are a 18 minute or 1 mile walk to River Street.



    Other Things to Note:

    This property is for the discerning guest looking for a quiet getaway to Savannah. The property is shared with other units in the building.



    NO Bachelorette or bachelor Parties.

    It is not for party goers or loud groups as quiet time for the neighborhood and shared outdoor space at the property is from 10 pm to 7 am.



    We have a strict 4 guest maximum at any time at the property.

    Minimum age to reserve the unit is 25 years of age.

Great Location with Historic Feel

This is a beautiful property. Well furnished with comfortable beds any everything we needed. We were within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Especially enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard and the amazing soaking tub. Definitely recommend to any staying in Savannah.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2024

Savannah is beautiful and this apartment is in the middle of Historic Downtown Savannah. Everything we wanted to do or see was within walking distance and the property was comfortable, clean and cozy.

Awesome experience!

This was our first time in Savannah, and these accommodations were amazing! Within walking distance to most anything you wanted to do in the downtown historic district. The Wedding Cake Garden apartment was charming and suited our group perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.

This suite was great for our trip to Savannah. Centrally located. Great walking distance to everything we wanted to see. So much room! Large bedrooms. The living area was nice for unwinding after a long day of discovering this lovely area.

Could not have been better!

I've stayed at several VRBO's in Savannah and this was the best. Just off of Bull St. and very close to my favorite square (Pulaski). Bedrooms were so spacious and it had everything I would have wanted. Looking forward to going back again.

Lovely!

A very comfortable space in a convenient location. Huge bedrooms and a cozy common living space/kitchen. The decor was quietly elegant. The air conditioning was extremely efficient and much appreciated on such a hot and humid weekend. Would recommend.

Great Location

Loved the location and character of the Garden Suite. The claw foot tub bathroom was gorgeous but not functional for showering, even with the handheld wand. If the curtain had a fastener it may have worked better. Otherwise it was perfect and would recommend to others - and stay again!

Wedding Cake Mansion lower level

Great location and enjoyed the historic property. A couple of small items, several of the sockets were not working and overall the lighting was dim. Upstairs guests can impact your stay as there is limited sound proofing.

Long weekend with friends and family

The unit was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. It is an old house, circa 1860 per the book provided, and seems to be well maintained. Nicely decorated with furniture that appears to come from that era. Noise was definitely an issue. This is a known issue as they provided ear plugs. The noise from the 2nd floor was difficult at times, heavy footed with heels and the screaming and laughing and continuing the party until 3am. This was addressed by the rental company and the 3am party stopped but made our stay a little less comfortable. Construction didn’t help and one morning a dumpster was dropped right out front at 6am. On the morning we left, construction started at 6:30am. The foreman happened to arrive as we were leaving and we let him know that the start time was unacceptable. We also notified the rental company.The unit is centrally located but a 20 minute walk to the river where a lot of the bars are located. Internet connectivity was an issue and constantly buffered while relaxing watching TV. I know some don’t watch tv on vacation but my husband decompresses watching tv/movies after a long day exploring. If you are going to have to work remotely while staying here, bring a booster.

A truly lovely place right in the heart of the most charming part of old town Savannah. On street parking was easy, but once we parked we walked everywhere. The space was beautifully decorated and larger than we thought it would be. Highly recommend!

The home is very comfortable and clean. It is also well located to anything you want to do. We highly recommend the Savannah Carriage rides. Be aware if there is a party upstairs you will hear it all.

The house wonderful. We had no issues with parking. We were on the ground floor. The individuals that stayed above her were very loud. Noise travels through this property almost as if the windows and doors are open. That would be my only complaint. It didn’t help that there was a large group staying above us who were having a “good” time. The host answered my phone call, which was very late, and was very responsive to my call. Overall the property great and had everything we needed.

Relaxing space, ideal location

We loved our brief stay in the garden apartment of the wedding cake mansion & will definitely consider staying there again when we visit Savannah in the future. Very near great parks, excellent coffee shops, antique stores.
