Restaurant/bar service is friendly but a bit odd in places For example: - why would you place a full hot cup of coffee right at the very edge of a table? - Cheeseboard for dessert served very cold"

"Perfect place to stay before flying out of Edinburgh. Its best features are the cleanliness of the rooms and it is always warm and cosy in winter - unlike many fancier hotels we have stayed in."

"They didn’t have vegetarian sausages for breakfast however we return there many times and that was the first time they didn’t. Scrambled eggs were not good. Normally treat our dog like a wee princess but this time forgot her bed bowl and treats. Got sorted out with management and was very happy with the customer service. All the staff were lovely and will definitely be back again for the 10th stay. Really grateful "
