Nice.

Great stay. The rooms are individual cabins spread throughout the hotel grounds (it will take a short walk to get to your room), but is fantastic. Is new, so half of it is under construction. The only flaw with the room was that it had no freedge.

Un petit cottage charmant

Nous avons été charmé par notre petit cottage vitré sur deux côtés du Chawlay Resort. La chambre et la douche étaient grandes, et le site, charmant. À remarquer que ce ne sont pas tous les cottages qui possèdent de belles grandes vitres. Exigez cette caractéristique quand vous ferez votre réservation. L'île elle-même est un petit paradis, où les enfants s'amusent à l'écart du reste du monde. Du côté des points négatifs, c'est un peu cher (96 $ canadiens) mais au moins la qualité était là. De façon générale, disons qu'il y a beaucoup trop de chiens errants à Koh Lipe. Soyez prudents si vous vous aventurez dans un sentier peu fréquenté. De plus, il y a trop de bateaux qui encombrent les plages. Il faut marcher longtemps avant d'atteindre une plage pour se baigner.

Rip off, avoid avoid avoid!!

We booked the Chawley resort as we were already on the Island and decided to stay another night, due to it being a holiday weekend there was very limited accomodation available but the Chawley came up as available' all be it at a very over priced rate. however, we love Koh Lipe so decided to pay the 2,500 Thai bhat. When passing the Chawley we called into it the evening before we were due to check in to make sure all was ok and to see what time check in was. We were informed that as the island was so busy they could not accommodate us even though they had confirmed our booking and taken the money, however they had us a room at another hotel. We got th name of the other hotel and went to check it out that evening and we were disgusted at what we found....... The replacement hotel was a horrible little building on walking street, the rooms were small and had shared toilets and bathrooms, was disgusting. on arriving at this hotel it took us a while to find someone and there was no reception, we did not say that we had been sent by Chawley but instead enquired about price for a room and was told 800 Thai bhat per night, we had paid 2,500 to Chawley!!!!! We went straight back to Chawley and got a full refund, thankfully we enquired when we did or we would have been stuck in a dirty hovel on our last night. I would also like to point out that Chawley were sttill advertising as being available that same night and weekend when they were clearly booked out.
