Sarlat is a beautiful city, and La Villa des Consuls is an equally beautiful hotel. It has everything: wonderful/helpful staff, brilliant location, excellent service, and great breakfast. Staying at La Villa des Consuls made our visit to Sarlat and the surrounding area memorable.

Conveniently located hotel. Nice courtyard parking nearby for a fee. Room was large- nice to hear cathedral bells ringing. Kitchen was outdated and we couldn’t figure out coffee ma hone but didn’t need it as shops and cafes just steps away we are on top floor- narrow staircase

There is a bar next door which was quite noisy on the weekend. Self serve breakfast had good breads, yogurt, fruits and nuts, but coffee was a machine. Our room had nice terrace overlooking Main Street. Polite staff.

Wonderful location to experience the central area

We loved the hotel! We had a separate bedroom for our daughter and plenty of room to spread out. As mentioned by others the parking garage available for a daily price is a few blocks away but overall not a huge inconvenience. We would definitely stay there again if in that area.

A terrace over looking the old city makes this a fun place to stay. Not easy to find but once you do it is a perfect inner city location. Lovely staff. Large suites, dated but functional and quirky. If driving recommend the extra $ to park.

This two bedroom apt was a highlight of our trip. My sons enjoyed having their own bedroom, and I loved how bright any airy the apt was. The location is perfect. I emailed the hotel in advance and they booked us a garage spot a ten min walk away, which was necessary. We loved our stay in beautiful Sarlat!

This small hotel was absolutely perfect for our 3 nights in Sarlat. The hostess gave us great recommendations for food and our room was spacious and comfortable. We walked everywhere! Such a beautiful town!

In theheart of historical Sarlat.Beautiful Bit for people with disability, access to the hotel by steep hill and barrow stairs to access rooms. Would be nice to have soneone at the reception after five.

The staff was so kind and helpful, very clean and comfortable and cute, great location with lots of restaurants and cafes and shops are only 1 min walk. Car park is about 5min walk as it's located in an alley so it can be a bit tricky with big suitcases but the walk to the car park is easy and nice as there are many shops along the way. Highly recommended and will go back again!

Sophie was an excellent host and contact. She was always very responsive to our emails and very helpful. The location in the heart of Sarlat makes everything walkable. Nice place, good location, tough find

Rick Steves recommends this apartment, and once we were there, it’s easy to see why. Sophie gave us good suggestions for activities. Our room was large, but we did have loud upstairs neighbors, enjoying the night life into late hours. Also, be aware that there are three streets to have in mind when arriving Sarlat. First is the street where the parking garage is located. Take the advice in the email they will send you, and park there immediately on arrival. But also be aware the “little door” is a personnel sized door next to a large double-wide garage door. You will use a code to get through the little door, and then find the button that raises the garage door. Then there is the “main drag” through town that fronts the apartment. Very tough to find parking, which is why you may not want to plan on stopping right near the apartment to unload luggage. Only try it if you have several large bags. If you have a carry-on size and a purse or backpack, garage it first. And then the third “street” really isn’t a street you can drive on. It’s up a ramp just off the main drag. You walk up the ramp and through a gate to get to the office. We tried using Google maps in our phones to walk from the garage to the office and it got us lost. Look for the ramp off the main drag.

The hotel or rather gite was different from our expectations .On the positive side, the hotel is centrally located in the old medieval center of Sarlat and the room had a terrace overlooking the main pedestrian street and had character. Negatives were difficulty in access, vleaning requiring an additional charge, and an oddly configured room. The gitei is for the more adventuresome.
