In the heart of Oia, apartment loving and comfortable. Terrace with view to the Caldera. John, the owner, very good and kind, gave us lots of advice about places to visit in Oia and the entire island of Santorini, as well as many descriptions of Greek culture in general. Highly recommended

The property is across the statelet from the mountain edge in a good location in Oia. Noone responded to messaging so I had to call to communicate. The hot tub was not visible, required 3 hours notice for it to heat up, and could only use it until 6pm. WiFi was very spotty at best. John was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations and setting up a taxi to leave.

Meilleur hôte et vues superbes

Si vous avez un budget limité mais voulez quand même dormir sur la caldeira à Oia, c'est le meilleur choix. Très jolie maison on ne peut mieux située au centre du village, et une des plus belles vues de la ville sur la caldeira depuis ses terrasses accessibles à tous les clients de la résidence. Supérette en face, station de bus à 5 minutes. Meublé très simplement mais avec tout l'essentiel, et très propre. J'avais la chambre single, petite mais suffisante. Mon seul manque a été un rideau pour obscurcir le haut de la fenêtre la nuit. John est un hôte attentif et chaleureux qui donne toutes les indications pour bien profiter de Oia. Et prendre le temps d'un café le matin ou un verre le soir sur les terrasses du haut en regardant la caldeira restera le meilleur souvenir de votre séjour.

This is the worst hotel adventure I ever experienced.We were screamed & yelled at by the hotel manager because we notified the guy that there are ants on the beds around 10:30 pm.He blamed us for having food in the room which was not true and even if it was true I have never had this experience that if there is something wrong with the room it is my fault and the hotel staff should not care and leave me with the trouble. I booked this room for my 22 year old daughter and her friend.When my daughter informed me of the ant situation I called the reception office when the manager started yelling and screaming at me. After that he went to the room and yelled at my daughter making her shaky and very scared.This guy is not vaccinated he was not taking the COVID protocols seriously and was touching everything in their bedroom which made my daughter and her friend more uncomfortable. After he left the room my poor daughter called sobbing on the phone.She was scared for her life from the way he treated them & also was worried to touch anything or sit anywhere. I stayed on the phone with her & with the he’ll of travel guide found her another hotel at 2:30 am. The poor girls were scared to leave the room worrying that he will be outside waiting to do something to them.I stayed on the phone with them until they got to the other hotel safe.My daughter was so scared that she forgot to leave the key in the room and took the key which gave the guy more reason to call, yell at me.

Great location in Santorini

We had a great time staying at this hotel. It was very close to restaurants and shopping and the beautiful views that Santorini is known for. It was very easy communicating with the owner of the property and he scheduled our pick up and drop off to the port. Our room and bathroom was a little small but it was fine. The price for this hotel was very good compared to others nearby. The location makes up for the size. We will definitely stay here again if we come back.

Wow! What an amazing stay! I went to Santorini for a solo trip and and wanted to stay in Oia. I was a little uneasy after reading some of the reviews but I decided to give MaryLou John villas a try. It was an amazing experience. The owner John was extremely nice and accommodating and treated me like family, even brewing me a cup of coffee and giving me a ride into town one day! When I arrived the first day, he notified me that another guest had cancelled their stay and that room (which was better than mine) was available for just a little more than I paid for my original room. Wow! It was an amazing deal, it was a bigger room with a view of the caldera. The room was very clean, there is an amazing view from the patio and the 2nd floor terrace and the hotel is conveniently located along the main walkway in Oia near ATMs, restaurants, bus stops, shops, and great picture spots. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone and if I return to Santorini I will be staying here!

Great place to stay in Oia!

My stay at Maryloujohn Villas was great! The location is perfect as it's right on the main path to everything and there are no stairs to climb. Considering the location, it is very reasonably priced! There is a little market directly across from it where you can buy snacks, fruit, water etc. It's a beautiful place that is kept in great condition. My room (#5) was spacious and beautifully decorated. I would often sit outside on the common area terrace to relax and sip wine and would hear people as they passed exclaim how beautiful the hotel looked and would snap pics of it. From the highest terrace you can take great pics of the gorgeous sunsets. John was a wonderful host, friendly, accommodating and very chill. From my experience, I would highly recommend staying here.

5 stars location but bad behavior !

The hotel is very well located in the middle of main street in oia, no need to use any kind of transport to get around! During my stay my linens and my towels were not changed! The room did not look anything like the photos! In middle of the night someone knocked on my door repeatedly waking me suddenly! The internet is very slow! Wi-Fi very low quality! I booked the breakfast for the next day including a Greek yogurt and a cappuccino which pay both part of breakfast, breakfast is served from 09:00 am until 11:00 am, I got the 10 30 am and was told that there was no more breakfast, but served me the worst Greek yogurt I've ever eaten is a cold cappuccino bought at the bakery around the corner with a disposable cup , and I had to pay € 6 for it! !! I asked if I could leave my bag after check out at the hotel until 19:00 and responsible young man (John) asked me how many hours I wanted to leave the suitcase there is a time I told the time, he said that the 11: 00am until 02:00 pm he did not charge me anything but from 02:00 pm to 07:00 pm he would charge € 15! On the transportation site around the corner I left the luggage for free !!! Before I get to Athens this guy (John) called me on the phone asking if I need a shuttle to the hotel and offered to seek for € 43 !!! The transport that I caught inside the airport to the hotel door charged me € 12 !!!

I could give them better reviews but after getting such a rude and unprofessional approach from the owner/receptionist I decided that they are not on that level of customer service that each hotel must have doesn't matter how big or small the hotel is you should be able to address each customer properly.

Rude owner!slow wifi!no customer service!

Felt unsafe of John's(one of the owner) behaviour when we check in.We let him know days before that our boat will arrive late night and even fix us a taxi.There was no one in hotel and there was no reception area that we could see so we call the hotel number.John sounded like he was asleep so when we met him in their room i ask him if he was sleeping and he answered: "obcourse!its late!U expect me to wait for you?!i am working hard all day!" he was rude & didnt even say sorry.I travel alot and i never been threated like that before. He sounded nice in email so it was shocking to met him.We met bitter personnels before but never been treated like that ever! it was horrible, he even told us to not use the aircon after 9pm which makes it even worst & hard to sleep.We wanted to transfer to another hotel but we already paid for the whole stay & we didnt have enough money to move to another hotel there since we had another itinerary and also it was 1am already.we were tired but couldnt sleep,feeling unsafe.luckily during the days he was never to be seen. So we try to forget that moment since we were there for our wedding anniversary which i noted when i made the booking.A day before check out,we couldnt find anyone working at all so i emailed him to tell the location of the room key since we checkout very early in the morning.We want to come back n santorini but will definitely avoid maryloujohn studios and will definitely not recommend this place to anyone!

사랑스러운 빌라

위치와 호텔환경도 환상적으로 아름다운데 사장님이 너무 친절하고 재밌으셔서 덕분에 더 즐거운 여행이 될 수 있었다. 방은 조금 습기가 있긴 했지만 전체적으로 매우 만족스러웠다. Thank you very much. I will never forget the taste of wine! :)

Good value for money!

Excellent location!! Great value for money as its close to everything and staff are friendly. Only a short walk from the bus stop and has a supermarket across the path, which was handy! Only negative was the wifi kept cutting out and very slow and no toiletries are supplied but overall I would stay here again!
