Pros: My husband, three kids, and I spent nearly 3 weeks in Greece. Of all the places we stayed, our El Verano Suite was the only place we wanted to stay in and enjoy, instead of go out for excursions. We had everything we needed and a beautiful pool and outdoor lounge area that made us want to stay in all day. Highly recommend reserving a suite with a pool! Would also highly recommend the walk to Oia, although you should keep in mind it’s over 5 miles (2.5 hours), but the views are well worth it. Con’s: While this location is walking distance to both Imerovigli and Fira, walking there is dangerous. Would not recommend doing it with kids. Drivers are rather reckless. Note that this can be easily solved by simply getting a cab.

We stayed at El Verano Suites for four nights as a couple, and honestly, we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay in Santorini. Everything was wonderful from the very beginning. The communication with the staff before our arrival, during our stay and even after we left was excellent. Everyone was so friendly, kind and helpful, and we always felt that someone was there if we needed anything. What we loved most were all the little details that made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The suite had absolutely everything we could possibly need — toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and toiletries, sanitary products and even a little sewing kit. It’s those thoughtful little touches that really make a difference. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and homemade pastries, which was such a lovely surprise. The kitchen was well equipped too, with everything we needed to prepare breakfast and enjoy our mornings. One of our favourite little moments was actually something very simple. One day, we saw a lovely member of the housekeeping team picking fruit from the cactus. We asked her what it was, and she very kindly brought some for us to try. It was such a sweet and spontaneous gesture, and we really appreciated it. ❤️ The property itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well looked after. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail to make guests feel at home.

This property was perfect for our family of five to relax but also close enough for eating out and shopping. The hostess was gorgeous, helpful and informative. The service was superb, even tho we had a room with a jacuzzi, we could use one of the pools of other rooms, if they were not vacated. Everything was clean and neat, I would go again the next time I’m there.

Loved El Verano! Sokratis and his sister were super helpful and the property was amazing, clean, personalized, and had a great view. Only issue was the short walk it took to get into town, but Sokratis was always able to call us a taxi and recommended the best spots in town. Highly recommend!

Best Stay in Greece

First time visiting Greece. What an amazing experience to celebrate our sons wedding on this property. The views are spectacular, the property is gorgeous and the hosts are top notch. They were very attentive and went out of their way to make our sons experience special. I like that the property is only minutes away from everything, yet far enough away to soak in the quiet atmosphere the property provides. Highly recommend.

Great service from Sokratis and his family. Would definitely recommend this hotel, the kindness and hospitality is so genuine. Each morning fresh bakeries hand made by Sokratis mum was provided, you can choose your hours of room service clean. The walk to Fira is 25mins walk to local shops and main town, easy navigation as signs everywhere and your phone satnav helps. Lovely hotel and the best personal service.

The property is gorgeous, very quiet and well located, although you’ll need a car or an ATV to go to the village. It’s not far from the restaurants but you cannot really walk on the road, there is no sidewalks and the cars drive fast. Sokratis and his sister were so welcoming and helpful. Sokratis gave us many tips upon our arrival and helped us book some restaurants throughout our stay on the island. I highly recommend this accommodation.

From the moment we arrived Sokratis and his sister did everything they could to made sure we had a pleasant stay. The greeted us with a bottle of local wine and fresh made pastries. They provided us with their personal number for anything we may need. They helped us get a reservation at a winery and arrange taxis (one company tried charging us 70 EUR and they arranged a taxi for 45). We chose not to get a car but would recommend as the major towns are 15 min hilly walk with no sidewalks. The property itself was amazing. They do not have caldera views but the view of the island, private pool, spacious and beautiful rooms (we stayed in the cactus sweet) with private bathrooms more than makes up for it. I highly encourage everyone to stay here.

Our suite felt very well designed, very spacious with a pool that had a clear view of the ocean. The living room and the bed rooms were also very spacious, the kitchen was well stocked, which was a surprise as we were not expecting and they restocked it on a daily basis. This place was located in a quieter area facing the east side of the island, so sunrise views were amazing, with the only downside being that it is away from the restaurants in the nearby village of Imerovigli. It is a 20-min uphill walk, which can be tough especially in sunny weather and there are no sidewalks to get to Imerovigli. However, we very much preferred this place to stay as it was quiet and serene, away from the hustle and bustle of the hotels on the west side of the island, where I felt there would very little privacy, and much smaller suites. The staff were also very friendly and helpful and guided us very well.

The property is small and charming. It feels like a luxury stay with personal feel. It is wonderful to sneak off to midday when the crowds are busy and have a serene, pristine, private pool and gorgeous patio view to enjoy or in the evenings after a long day. Be aware you don’t get those classic sunsets as it is on the other side of the ridge from the action of town. If you are a sunrise person, those are spectacular. It is a stunning place, great hosts, great value. A truly memorable experience in a cave home.
