The hotel was located in a great location, close to the waterfront and sights. We had to leave the window open for air, so it was pretty noisy during the night. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

Majoitusta keskellä kaupunkia

Majoitus on vanhan talon huoneistossa. Aamiaishuone henkii vanhaa hienoa tunnelmaa. Huone on karumpi, meillä taisi olla paikan vaatimattomin ja pienin huone: kapea parisänky, vino kaappi... mutta hintakin oli edullinen. Jaettu kylpyhuone ja vessa oli ihan ok. Paikka on keskellä kaupunkia ja ainakin viikonloppuisin kaduilta kuuluu ääniä sisälle. Uimarannoille on jonkin verran matkaa.

Little free extras like slippers and razor. in the old town so was close to all the sights. Easy check in and friendly staff. Very compact hotel with shared bathroom very close to rooms. Useful kettle in room for hot drinks.

Møkkete sengetøy

Rommet skulle være med 2 enkeltsenger eller dobbeltseng. De var utsolgt for enkeltsenger, så vi fikk dobbeltseng. Sengen var hard og hadde på et møkkete dyne/laken. Var også delt pute i tillegg til delt dyne i den smale dobbeltsengen. Frokosten var god med toast og egg. Service var også god og hyggerlig betjening

Hostel centrico en el centro de Santander,a buen precio y con desayuno incluido.El baño es compartido.Esta situado en una zona tranquila,lo malo que no hay zona blanca,es todo zona azul,pero bueno te puedes apañar bien,no obstante te hacen una oferta de parking.Perfecto para pasar uno o dos dias en santander.El personal muy atento y amable.¡Repetiria!

Ideal central location overlooking plaza Pombo.

Hotel is on 3rd floor of an old fashioned building. There is a lift but I liked the polished mahogany stairs (very clean). Our room was also clean with a wooden floor and a new bathroom. It was only 50€. Breakfast was only toast and cake and coffee but it was included in price. Very good cafe nearby. I read some poor reviews which I didn't agree with

we thought are stay was excellent

due to cancelation of two brittiny ferries due to bad weather the hotel staff were very helpful an pleasent in many ways as well as the service they provided us with were 2 nd to none perfecto and would recomend this b/b plaza pombo to other usesr who will be visiting santander in the near future chrisn lorrainwe felt very relaxed just like being at home

Geweldig hotel, echter wel gehorig.

We hebben er een hele goede tijd gehad. De service en de kamer was geweldig. Het enige nadeel was de gehorigheid; de andere bezoekers in aangrensende makers waren zeer duidelijk te horen!

Great location but the room was bad. The bathroom is basically a closet added in the corner of the room and the plumbing is messed up. Run the water in the sink, to brush teeth or shave, and the waste water bubbles up from the drain in the shower. The bigger problem is the shower doesn't drain and before long you are standing ankle deep in water that will soon overflow into the room if you don't turn off the flow and wait for the drain to catch up. I know it is Europe and a different culture and all, but the owner seemed genuinely annoyed when we showed up. I am no princess, I can handle rustic conditions and I prefer the small operations, but this one just had too many negatives. My advice: try something else.

Traditional building in the centre of Santander

This pension style B & B was in an old building overlooking a square and therefore provided a traditional kind of overnight experience. (We actually spent 2 nights there.) There were sometimes problems getting the rather ancient lift to open when it was already at your floor. The B & B was on the 3rd floor and this was the only way to access it. However I found the place a pleasant change from the more bland hotel we often find, almost like living in a Spanish person's home, and the manager was very pleasant (he had little English by the way.) Breakfast was included and was substantial. The place was clean and surprisingly peaceful, having only a few other guests.
