This is the 9th summer that we have been to Blue Mountain Beach. This house was by far our least favorite. To start it states that it sleeps 16, when we arrived the two couch beds and futon only had sheets. We called the property manager and told them we needed blankets and pillows. They said they would get them to us the next morning. We had to get upset and let them know that was unacceptable, if the house states it sleeps 16 then we need everything tonight so we could put kids to bed. They did finally get us bedding but not until almost 11 that night.
The guest house A/C was awful. The upstairs was around 78 degrees and the downstairs was 58. The bedrooms were upstairs and it was too hot to sleep comfortably and the downstairs was an ice box and unenjoyable to hang out in during the day. They came and looked at the a/c once and then never followed up and never came back to fix the issue. The house has no rugs at any doors, the bedrooms have no dressers, so we had to live out of our suitcases the entire week. I always like to unpack and settle in and we just had to stir through our luggage. Plus the rooms were so small we had no walking space to walk with our suitcases having to stay open on the ground. The knives were awful and dull, we had to buy new ones. Sinks did not drain in bathrooms. The couches are so old they had no support. Shower curtains had mildew. It did not feel like they cared about the comfort of their guests just the income. Things need updated.
