A wonderful time - I only wish I could have stayed longer period. The hotel staff was amazingly helpful especially on my morning to leave and my taxi cancelled... Hotel POLAMAR staff found me a ride to the Alicante airport, and I made it with time to spare. The room was wonderful and clean, and my terrace looked out on the Mediterranean Sea and beach. The included breakfast was outstanding - better than what we get in the US by a lot. I will make sure to go back!

Breakfast was amazing, we found ourselves excited to go down to breakfast each morning and sit looking at the beach whilst we ate. Our room was lovely and clean and the maids were really friendly. Reception staff were also amazing and really kind, making check in and out super quick and easy. The balcony maybe could have some more decor like fairy lights, plants etc as our one was a large balcony but felt a bit empty at times. Bed was comfy and the air con was great at night as it was soo warm in the daytime! Really recommend and the location is great, 1 minute walk onto the beach, 5 minutes to the harbour and restaurants with little shops around 2 minutes away. Thanks for having us, we loved it!

The initial room we were given was nothing like the picture shown on the Expedia site. We complained and were given a much better room the next day but had to pay an extra 120euros for it. This room was still dated and had a shower over the bath which was potentially dangerous as it had a loose handle. The TV had no English channels. There was no fridge in the room but we were supplied with a very small one on request. The pillows were uncomfortable. The breakfast in the hotel was atrocious. Stale bread,insipid scrambled eggs,fatty bacon and tinned fruit. We ate out more often than not. The 5th floor bar area was quaint and the outside seating area at ground level was also very nice. Drinks expensive though. In my view this hotel needs a huge amount of money spent on it and it could be superb if this happened. It’s in a prime position right on the beach and central to shops,restaurants etc. A couple of staff members were really helpful- Lili on the housekeeping team and the lady with longish fair hair and glasses on reception who sorted a better room out for us. Thank you to them.
