"We enjoyed our stay in the halfling house. My husband and I and our 8 kids filled the space. It is themed very well and will stocked. We stayed only 1 night as we were passing through and my kids loved it! There are costumes to dress up in and even an old fashioned key that unlocks the round door. "This was a perfect place to have our family gather! Meal preparation was easy in the well organized and stocked kitchen. The extra tables and chairs in the garage made a great dining hall. "Dirty, dead bugs all over floor, air conditioner moldy, toothpaste splattered all over bathroom mirror and sink, couches had tons of food under the cushions, remote batteries were dead, and reset Wi-Fi router, outside trash drug all over outside by wildlife, trash across back side if house, overgrown and smelled like dog. If you’re charging someone to stay there it should be clean."

While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe."

"The view from the cabin was exceptional! The sunsets were amazing! My kids loved everything about staying there. The beach is close and enjoyable. It felt similar to camping, but with more conveniences. Our only complaints were that it was extra warm (there were air conditioning units to help, they just couldn't keep up) and the master bed was extremely squeaky. "
