Yee Peng, Loy Krathong, Festival of Lights

This is an event we will never forget!
It's one of the most spectacular massed balloon launches of the Loy Krathong festival.
It takes place at the back of Mae Jo University, about 13 kilometres outside of Chiang Mai.
It's not on the date of the official Loy Krathong festival in Chiang Mai so check ahead for the correct date and plan your trip.
The ceremony with prayers and the lantern launch is between 18:30 and 20:30 but be there earlier to get a good spot.
