"After we checked in, my girlfriend and I found the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. It was promptly replaced and things were back in order. The bed could’ve had a thicker mattress and the room didn’t have a tv, otherwise we were pleased with the room. We enjoyed the delicious room service meal during our evening, and the grounds and beach were very nice and clean."

") I stayed at Kandaya Resort and while the resort has a beautiful ocean view and the staff were genuinely friendly, the overall experience was disappointing due to a number of operational issues that should have been addressed before guests arrive. When I first checked into my room there were several problems including the door lock not working properly, the TV and cable not functioning, the Smart TV needing to be reconnected, a toilet with very weak pressure that clogged, and light switches that wouldn’t turn off until an electrician came and rewired the switch. These are the kinds of things that really should be checked before renting the room to guests. The biggest issue during my stay was the service and staff training. The resort appears to rely heavily on OJT (on-the-job training) staff, and while they were all very nice, many clearly had not been properly trained. Ordering food was frustrating because meals often arrived at completely different times, sometimes with one person getting their food and the other waiting 20 minutes for theirs, which takes away from the experience of dining together. The breakfast buffet also had issues with food temperature; the first morning the food was cold, the next morning it was warm after I mentioned it, and the following day it was cold again until a manager had to go into the kitchen to address it. Something as simple as keeping proper heat under the buffet trays would easily solve that. Around the pool area the service was simila"

"From the outside,looks like a great resort but that was it. Room as big as it was is nice . No seats inside room so every time you want to sit down you have to sit on the bed . Luggage no place to pack or un pack other than the bed. Their is a nice table with a kettle and to lovey cups but nothing to put in the cup(coffee or tea) also no wher to plug in or sit down. Lots of staff but no atmosphere that you get in other resorts. Breakfast included, go else where greasy and cold. Last day stomach was upset from breakfast was in room and threw up a bit again was sitting on bed running to toilet a small stain was on sheets. When checking out charged me 900php and said that if they cleaned them they would have use bleach? My answer was don,t you bleach white sheets anways what about other bodily fluids?? They asked us if we wanted to take sheets with us. Odd question while traveling. Staff were nice but a little thing call customer service goes a long way. Everything you have to ask and their are lots of staff. Second time on the island would i stay here again no. "

"Trash/recycle everywhere, room/bathroom is dirty. Room badly needs an upgrade. The bathroom window is broken, mosquito gets in the room. The restaurant is okay, serve from 8am to 5pm only. Not even a room service after this hour. No refrigerator, WiFi, sheets dirty. I will not recommend to anybody from Westerners. The hotel pictures are misleading. "

"Excellent staff, very friendly. Finding the place was hard their sign didnt stand out frim the others around it so we missed the turn off. "
