The house is large and beautiful. Peri let my girls help to feed the goats, chickens, pig, and horses. She was so patient with the girls. There was 5 acres with fruit trees. We picked plums that were delicious. Peri had wet suits and boogie boards. The girls had so much fun at the beach.

We had a great time at the farm house!

Peri and Jeff were great hosts! My family had such a great time at their beautiful home. Peri gave us a tour upon arrival of the house and later of the farm. We loved feeding all the animals and spending time with them. Peri also had some recommendations on some local attractions that turned out to be great. I highly recommend this place. My family and I will be back in the future.

Simply amazing!!!

We were looking for a midway point as our kids live in SoCal and we live in the Bay Area. Found this little gem and it was just what we needed. Peri is an amazing host who provided everything we needed. The farm has super cute and friendly animals. A perfect getaway

Great place to stay

What a wonderful place to stay! The house was exquisite and fun. All our needs were met. The hosts were exceptional. We cannot say enough about the patience and gentleness in which Peri showed our grandchildren (and us) when letting them feed and pet the animals. Highly recommend this place.

Central Coast Grande -- Wonderful getaway

This house is exactly as advertised, with open-yet-comfortable shared spaces, peaceful views, and spacious rooms. Simply a great place for a group to come together for a few days to go to the beach, to go bicycling, golfing, enjoy wineries, or fine eateries (all of which we did!). Thanks to Peri and Jeff who made us feel at home and like pampered guests at the same time.

Perfect for family stay over the holidays

We spent four wonderful days at Peri and Jeff´s property in December and it was a perfect place for us to spend Christmas together. The house is very spacious and cosy for nine people. The kitchen was great and well equipped, and Peri let us pick tomatoes, herbs and lemon in the yard. The Christmas decorations made it so cosy. Peri and her husband are very nice and friendly, and we also loved all the animals. We highly recommend this house, which feels like a home!

Wonderful House, Wonderful Host

Peri is a great host. She made sure that we had everything we need. When we wanted to do s'mores and they didn't have a fire pit, Peri came up with a solution and even set up chairs in the yard. The interaction with the farm animals was one of the highlights of our trip. Kids from 10 to 80 enjoyed it! The house is spacious and well appointed. It fit 14 of us very comfortably. The location is quiet but at the same time close to conveniences like a huge grocery store. It's a 10 minute drive from Pismo Beach and the sand dunes. We travel a lot and stay in rentals and high-end hotels. Peri's house and her hospitality is one of the best. We were treated like good friends. Thank you Peri!

Amazing Place and Host

We had an amazing stay at Zen Farms for our Christmas stay with our family of 7 (and dogs). Peri even added Christmas decorations and put up a fully decorated live Christmas tree in the living room and another one in the game room for us to enjoy…what a great touch! The home is in a quiet country setting yet within a very short drive you can be at the beach, the town of Arroyo Grande, or have access to the freeway to get to whatever daily adventure you are up to. The house is spacious enough for very large groups and yet cozy for small groups too. It has an open concept effect with the dining room, living room and kitchen all connected making it easy to chat no matter where you are and what you are doing. It was a great location to come back to and relax after our many day trips to Avila Beach, Pismo, SLO, Wineries, Kayaking in Morro Bay, Hiking, or taking the dogs to Dog Beach. The farm animals that Peri and Jeff have on site were a great bonus to the stay. It is more than just a small petting zoo as Peri invites you to not just see the animals, but she hopes you will join her to feed and take care of them (don’t forget to save your dinner scraps for the pigs). Our adult grown children loved to feed the animals (as did we), but what really stood out was when we had friends visit with their 2-small children. Peri was extremely sweet with them and patiently answered all their questions, and really interacted with them to where they felt like they were more than just feeding or petting the animals. We would highly recommend this location and cannot thank Peri and Jeff for their hospitality and making us feel so welcome!

Lovely property - what an amazing stay we had!

My family and I along with my sister's family (ten people total: 4 adults, 6 children (aged 7-15) stayed at Zen Farm for three nights over New Year's Eve. We had such a lovely stay. The house was bright, comfortable, spacious and fit all of us well. The beautiful Christmas decorations were still up and we loved seeing the Christmas trees lit up at night. Everything was clean and organized. The kitchen was well stocked and we wound up cooking most of our meals at the house. The kids ate at the big table in the dining room and we ate at the smaller table in the breakfast nook - a perfect set-up! Peri had all the kitchen equipment (pots/ pans/ dishes/ etc) available for us to use and a big bonus was the popcorn machine in the game room. The kids loved watching the popcorn pop and it was a delicious treat to munch on while watching movies in the large game room. The game room also had a pool table the kids enjoyed playing at. The girls slept in the game room downstairs and us adults and the boys slept upstairs in the three bedrooms. It was a good arrangement - we didn't feel crowded at all. The highlight of the place for us were the farm animals which included two pigs, a goat, three ponies, two bunnies, along with many chickens and several ducks. The animals were in a large area in close walking distance to the house (but far enough away to not bother the house with any noise at all). The kids loved helping Peri feed the animals every morning and every afternoon. Peri was very patient helping us learn about the animals and showing us how to take care of them. The kids loved petting the bunny and the ponies as well as feeding the two pigs. I loved watching and petting the pigs myself! One of the most enjoyable parts was watching the pigs eat their "buffet." Save all your leftovers! The pigs will love eating all of it. Peri was an awesome hostess, always friendly and available. She responded to her texts readily whenever we needed anything and was always available to answer our questions. It was such a wonderful, restful experience staying at Peri's farm. The surrounding lands were tranquil and beautiful, a perfect get-away from the busy congested city life. At night, we also got to watch the stars shining brightly from above. What a treat! We had such an awesome stay at Zen Farm that we already booked our return trip there next month! My children and I can't wait to go there again to relax and hang out with Peri and her farm animals.

Pictures don't do this cozy, warm house justice. Felt like home. Perfect place for a family gathering. Lots of nice touches throughout the house. Host is super helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful time

The property and owners were wonderful! The house was beautiful, clean, and plenty of room. We had plenty of amenities, towels, blankets, etc. My children loved the animals, spending time with them, and helping to feed them (a real high light!!) . It was so peaceful and quiet, just what we needed for some quality family time.

Relaxing stay, great hosts!

Wonderful stay at Zen Farms! We were 4 adults, 2 kids (age 2 and 4), plus two dogs looking for a quiet, large space for the kids to “roam”. Peri and Jeff are overcommunicative, wonderful hosts who had everything prepared for our arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to cook and bake for the whole family— there is even an instant pot! Peri invited us to help feed and brush the animals (goats, mini horses, ducks, fish, chickens, and pigs!) each morning and afternoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.The home is very spacious, with three bedrooms two bathrooms upstairs and a twin room half bath downstairs. The pool table is located in the family room, the farthest from the upstairs bedrooms, so our sleeping kids wouldn’t hear anything. The house is also equipped with multiple gates (for kids or dogs), an extra twin mattress (which we used for one of the kiddos), and a pack n play, and PLENTY of sheets, towels, blankets, and robes. There are also beach chairs, boogie boards, and wetsuits of all sizes (including for kids)— honestly we’ve never stayed in a more well-stocked home.The location is on the Mesa in Arroyo Grande, about 15 min drive from Pismo Beach, 10 min from Oceano, and 20-25 min from SLO. Close enough to everything you need (grocery stores, beach) and far enough from the city that it’s very quiet and you can see all the stars at night. We’ll be back!

WOW! Magical, Peaceful and Perfectly located!

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations! The adults and kids alike are already talking about returning. During our one week stay we quickly learned the beautiful home was icing on the cake, the real treasures of this property are Peri, Jeff and the animals! Peri took so much time and care to educate and provide a life long joyful memory for our granddaughters with the animals every day of their stay. They are now asking for their own goats, pigs and chickens. We truly felt like we were "home" while we were there. Communication was easy and all of our questions answered quickly. The home itself was clean, family friendly, comfortable and well stocked! You have everything you need from cozy blankets to a fully stocked kitchen if you choose to bring food to cook. Jeff even took the extra steps to provide my husband with fresh cut wood and a bbq! There is plenty of room for everyone and we especially loved all the cozy seating areas outside all around the property! There are games, puzzles, a pool table, a really fun popcorn machine, a rope swing and many other things we didn't have time to use like wetsuits and boogie boards. I would give their location a 10 out of 10! We were less than 15 minutes from Pismo Beach Pier and yet far enough away from everything that it felt peaceful and private. We visited 5 beaches while we were in the area and never drove more than 35 minutes! I could go on and on but, I'm out of space. I will end by saying, we will be back!

Great Place for a Family Get-Together

Ten of us spent two nights here while visiting with each other and with family members who live in the area. The house easily accommodated our entire group and was a nice place to hang out - lots of room both inside and out. Hosts Peri and Jeff were wonderful and very accommodating. We joined them in the feeding of the animals one morning and were treated to fresh eggs from their hens later that day.

Great Family Experience

Everything about the listing was accurate. Jeff and Peri were absolutely the best hosts we have had. They were very accommodating and provided a unique experience that my family will cherish, most notably my younger children. They all loved the place that we stayed and keep asking to go back. Aside from the memories that we made, the house itself was exactly as listed. It was clean, spacious, and appropriately decorated. It felt like home. The kitchen had all the necessities, the closets had linens and towels and there was enough fun activities around the place and inside to keep anyone entertained. The location was in a great area too. It felt like you were miles away from everything when in reality you were close to the beach and close to an active social atmosphere around the cities. We had great communication back and forth with anything that we may have needed and that is always welcomed I will be recommending this place to everyone I know, especially if they have children, because it was such a great experience. We are already planning our return trip just for the house.

What an amazing property. All the feel of a 5 star hotel buy yours alone. One of the best getaways we have ever had. Peri and Jeff went above and beyond as hosts. The fresh eggs were a treat. So many relaxing areas inside and out of the property I finished my book and had to get another. And a pool table and popcorn machine! Be still my heart. That was only one of the special touches.

Wonderful stay at the farm

We had such a wonderful time at the farm. My granddaughters (6, 8) loved helping to feed the animals, brush them, gather eggs and petting the dog and cat. Peri was wonderful with the girls. She is so patient. The home is beautiful and quite large. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all the dishes and pots that we needed. The cool temperatures were lovely in July. There are many places around the home to sit outside and look over their beautiful property. We will visit again.

Amazing Farm House

Fun and clean spacious family farm house! Peri was an amazing host! Responded right away and was amazing with the kiddos. She let us know when the feeding time was for the animals which the kids looked forward to everyday to help feed and interact with them. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Beautiful showers and tub! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook. We were here for the weekend for my moms birthday and would def be back. This is def the place for a family vaca. Close to oceano beach ( sand dunes), Pismo beach and San Luis Obispo

Wonderful family get-together at Zen Farms!

We had a such a fun family reunion at Zen Farms! It was easy to coordinate and a big property so everyone had room to relax. The house had plenty of room with a pool table, large kitchen for cooking and an outside bbq. The backyard allowed us to set up our cornhole and the kids could run around. Peri was awesome and checked our schedule to make sure the kids could feed the animals with her (which they loved). We will definitely be back next year!

Great Get a Way!

We had a quick weekend away for the family and the location was perfect. The host, Peri, was extremely accommodating and worked to make it a great weekend for us. The house and property is set up perfect for a large family of all ages. Considering that the property sits on a farm, we were surprised at how clean it was...the true test was the baby crawling on the floor and still having clean clothes! Peri was so great with the kids and let them feed the animals and spent the time to teach the kids about the animals as well. The downstairs seems to be designed for a large group with lots of open space and large game room. The kitchen is very well stocked and there wasn't a single appliance that we couldn't find. It is so nice not have to bring basic things with you. There is a fruit stand just a few minutes away with lots of great fruit which we picked up on the way. We would recommend this property and add it to the list for a future visit.
