We had a great stay here in the two family bedroom apartment! I really loved the kitchen area, the secure gates, and the blasting AC. The apartment was in the perfect area for walking, Uber, and essentials. Grocery store is around the corner and the gym is a 15 minute walk! We would definitely stay again.

Stayed here from Wednesday to Sunday in late March. I will say most reviews that I read prior to going were spot on. Do not go here expecting a front desk and staff on premises. It is an apartment building as listed and not a hotel. We arrived early as I had informed them we would. Codes to building worked so that was great, but we had no idea where to go. Only staff you will find are the cleaning people who were helpful. They took our bags and the one very nice young woman offered to get our apartment done early so we could get in early. Huge positive! 1BR apartment was cute although the sitting room/kitchenette area are kinda a waste. Couch but no tv in that room so we didn’t even use it. Very clean. AC was great! Always nice and cold! Balcony was nice to sit on. Love where it is located. Easy walk to the beach and many stores and restaurants close by. Uber was always less than 5 min wait when we used. Pool is a small jacuzzi size but we knew that. Nice outside area to sit and relax but we stuck to our balcony. The not so good: When I asked for clean towels I was informed that unless we were there a week, we either had to wash ourselves using washer on site or pay (apartment not a hotel). Not a huge deal but be aware. Tv - internet is ok at best. Works sometimes and doesn’t others. Signal was strong but don’t think it’s meant for so many devices at once. When internet is down, tv is down. Overall it’s a great spot and would stay again!

While the room setup itself looks like the photos online and is very cute, I’ve run into a number of issues. The Wi-Fi is very unreliable. It works only sometimes, and because of that, the TV only connects occasionally. Also you have to throw the toilet paper in the trash as the toilet cannot flush toilet paper. When I arrived, the window had been left open and there were small bugs on the counter, which I assume may have been due to the window being open. I also noticed what looked like a paint stain on the sheets, and the floor didn't seem fully cleaned, as there were hairs and some dust/dirt left behind. Crumbs were in the beside drawer. Another issue is that all of the wall outlets are hidden behind heavy furniture or in hard-to-reach areas. The only accessible outlet is in the corner near the bathroom. The location is great, which I appreciate, but it's also extremely noisy with cars driving by, honking, and people talking/yelling outside. From the online pictures, I had the impression that the rooms were within a more enclosed building that might reduce outside noise. While I understand that noise-free rooms cannot be guaranteed, it would've been helpful to know the building is open to the outside in a very busy tourist area, as that makes the room much more sensitive to surrounding noise. I messaged about these issues and all that was said was sorry for the inconvenience and would I like the housekeeper to deliver new bedsheets. Not even offering to re-clean the room.

Convenient walking location to a lot of things! My room was very clean with a small kitchen area with coffee, fridge, microwave. Communication was very good! Quick to answer messages. I was able to store luggage when I arrived early. FYI the pool is nice to have but is size of a hot tub so dont expect a "swimming " pool.

Nothing like the images. The room was relatively clean, but the balcony was filthy and did not overlook the garden. The whole exterior of this place needs a good power wash. Even the white umbrellas around the "pool" were covered in green algae. We checked out a day early as there was no water in the bathroom and moved into a hotel. I don't understand the owners' mentality, who could make it passable with a small investment.

I had a great time staying here as a solo-female traveler. The location was super easy for uber pickup/drop off, the beach was a 5-7 minute walk away, and tons of different shops and restaurants were within a 15 minute walk. Old San Juan is about a 12-15 minute uber ride away. I generally felt safe in my unit (I wasn’t staying out too late so I can’t speak to late night happenings). I would definitely consider staying here again. The only minor complaint I have is around cleanliness. The bathroom had at least 3 different people’s hair in various places that were immediately obvious when I used it for the first time. Ultimately it wasn’t that much of a problem for me. The check in and check out instructions provided were super clear and easy to follow, and communication from the property about regularly scheduled maintenance was timely and professional.

Everything about our stay at La Mona Loiza Sta was 5 stars. Check in was very easy, and easy step by step instructions on how to get into our room. The room was clean. Parking was not hard at all even on a Friday/Saturday, maybe we got lucky. The only complaint I have is the shower didn’t have enough water pressure and it was either very hot or cold, but not a big deal. I would 100% stay here again. Thank you!

Pros: Great location with easy access to a quality grocery store, restaurants, and the beach. The room was a good size and water pressure in the shower was good. Uber to/from the airport is $7-9 USD one-way. The check-in process is very easy. Clean room & building. Cons: $10 to get new towels even though we are staying 6 days. The internet was really bad (loses connection in all rooms through the day, could not enjoy the smart TV at night when relaxing or trust the connection for any virtual work). If your room is at the front of the building, there is a lot of car noise throughout the day - loud music,honking. The traffic light near the building is very busy so loud music can last 1-2 minutes at a time. Outlets in the bedroom were blocked by furniture and most convenient way to charge phones were to use the kitchen or living room. You are asked not to flush toilet paper.
