Haven of Peace in Old San Juan

Casa Sol is a family-run business, and there are only a few rooms with a central courtyard, so you get to know your fellow guests, which is lovely. Everything is calm, clean, comfortable, and respectful. Breakfast each day (included) is beyond delicious. The rooms are air-conditioned and the beds are comfortable, and the location is perfect, walking distance to everything. We will return!

The property itself is beautiful. It was conveniently located in Old San Juan, but parking is about 10 minutes away. The breakfast was wonderful and served in a beautiful inner atrium. The hosts provided a great list of recommendations for restaurants, shops and things to do in the area. The property was a bit noisy, as people were loudly talking in the atrium during quiet hours and our room was also near the street. The ceiling fan/overhead light evidently had a universal remote in all rooms. Our light and fan randomly came on in the middle of the night, more than once!

The place is conveniently located to restaurants, tourist spots (a block away from Castillo Cristobal), pretty much all the must-see in Old San Juan. The breakfast they serve are amazing. Tisha and Eddie are both so welcoming. If there's one minor issue it would be the noise from outside that was a little bothersome. (Which Casa Sol has no control over. Lol! So not really complaining.) Our room was the one next to the street so it can get a bit busy at times. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Perfect Old San Juan Experience

Everything about our stay was fantastic! Eddie and Tisha (Margarita) were amazing hosts. They treated us like family. The room was comfortable, the patio area was adorable, the dog was super sweet, and the food...WOW! Everything in Old San Juan is within easy walking distance. I love that the B&B was near the top of the hill which is a reasonable distance from the cruise ships. The further up the hill you go, the better the food (the ships are at the bottom). You cannot go wrong staying here. Thank you so much, and we can't wait to come back!

Wonderful experience

I stayed at Casa Sol as a solo traveler for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. Eddie and Tisha were extremely friendly and helpful in providing recommendations for cultural attractions and restaurants, as well as arrangements for taxi transportation. The location in Old San Juan is within an easy walk of many cultural attractions while still being relatively quiet in the evening. The breakfasts were tasty and customizable with notice (I'm vegetarian). All in all, a great experience and I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in San Juan!

Casa Sol is such a beautiful property. The room was lovely and full of charm. The details were impeccable; bottles of water left for guests, chocolates on the bed, safe and secure room, beautiful decor. It was also eco-friendly, with reusable bottles, showers that use less water, and a fan to keep the room cool. The A/C was great, but the fan was just as wonderful. our room had a big beautiful window with shutters, but we could not open them because the room faces the street and is on street level. So you give up a level of privacy if you choose to open the shutters. We kept them mostly closed. The location was great, within walking distance to everything. Eddie shared great local places to eat that were outside of the touristy areas, and they did not disappoint. The breakfast was amazing, made with fresh and local ingredients! One thing to note is that many restaurants close early, around 10 or so, and they stop taking customers well before closing. Just make sure you keep that in mind when planning dinner. Another thing to note is that there is no TV. but there is WiFi, so you can stream on your ipad or computer if you wish. All in all, we had an amazing stay. Casa Sol is a wonderful experience and we would love to stay there again. Thank you Eddie and Tisha for being wonderful hosts, and Kayla for taking care of us as well.

Excellent location a block from ocean views. Very friendly and caring family that takes pride in their bed and breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beautiful and luscious courtyard perfect for an early morning cafecito. They’ll customize your breakfast according to your dietary needs (mine was plant based). Will definitely stay here again.
