"The apartment is nice, though it does need some remodeling. Marianela, the host, was very hospitable—an excellent person. The one exception was Sunday, when the power and water went out—though that is beyond the host's control and is a city issue. However, the place is cozy; just be sure to arrive in an SUV or off-road vehicle, as you have to drive up steep trails that a standard car wouldn't be able to handle."

"I was very happy with the choice of staying at this place. I stayed for two months and was able to cook. The beds were comfortable and the space felt large. There is a large front porch with rocking chairs that has views of the mountains. So when it rains you can still hang out on the porch. The sunset clouds are so beautiful. There is the most wonderful local family that overseas the property. The only downside is the road up to the place is really rough."

"The staff was very helpful. My Spanish is not good but they understood me fine. The manager/owner speaks very good English and is a real nice guy. He and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The place is only a few blocks from the beach and very affordable. No noisy bars just peace and quite. The place was clean and quite with great AC. You can use the kitchen to cook and they always have free drinking water available. Right next to a park and playground for kids and their prices can't be beat."

"Beautiful property in SJDS . As a family of 4 with 2 kids under 10 this had everything we needed . Food is on the pricier side but one breakfast drink & item is included daily with your stay (portions were big) . Daily shuttle will take you closer to the beach as it is not walking distance. Unfortunately, some of the things advertised on their social media such as “access to a private beach” were not accessible , they could not get us a shuttle to the private beach or provide a clear follow up on why so that was kind of a bummer. Otherwise, the resort itself was amazing."

The daily included breakfasts are so delicious and filling. Greatlocation, lots of street parking and comedy bedrooms. We are already looking forward to the next stay!"

"This hotel is great and a great bargain. The staff is super helpful, management is very flexible and accomodating (they worked with us so that we could have breakfast earlier than they open), the views are amazing and the place is very spacious, which is great for families with kids who like to explore and play freely outdoors. The one constraint worth mentioning is that depending on where your house is located on the property, it can be a 20-25 minute walk on a hill to the town, which can be tricky to navigate with food. That said, if you have a car, that will not be an issue and you can always get a local taxi to help you out. I still highly recommend this hotel and it's definitely worth 5 stars in my book!"
