The listing did not identify themselves as a Wyndham Resort. The only reason that is an issue is they are using VRBO to sell vacation packages at their resort. Our party of 4 was asked by the following people at the resort if we would attend a 90-minute presentation: once at check in, three times when we asked the concierge for help, once at the river walk, they identify you by the bracelets they give you when checking in. Each of these people were extremely nice and took no for an answer. However, someone called me on my cellphone while we were on a tour. The man was aggressive and rude. It is hard to imagine why this company thinks we are willing to give up our vacation time for an inexpensive gift.
The hotel needs some updating which they are in the process of doing. However, in our room, the windows were broken, allowing excess noise into the bedroom. A nearby train was blowing its horn at night and early in the morning making it difficult to sleep. The plumbing literally bangs when you try to use the shower. The furniture looks good, but unless you sit with your back perfectly straight forget about being comfortable.
Please note I have used VBRO for 10 years and this is the only negative response I ever posted. The spaces we used from this service exceeded our expectations. If you don’t mind losing 90 minutes of your life and not being able to sleep, in exchange for an inexpensive tour this maybe the place for you!
