Amazing experience!!!

Exceptional customer service!! Cristal clean room and very comfortable beds! Time to enjoy our environment w/o TV’s!! However available high quality Wi-Fi. Amazing breakfast with one of the best coffee ever tested! Best localization next to the biggest archeological Park. Definitely recommended Hotel Huaka-Yo to complete one of the best experience in Colombia (San Agustin Arqueological area)!!

Excelente Hotel y Servicio.

El hotel está super cerca del parque arqueológico de San Agustin. Las habitaciones son muy limpias, tienen agua caliente y a pesar de que no hay televisores con el sonido de la naturaleza es más que suficiente para descanzar y desconectarse del mundo. Tienen WIFI para esas personas que no se pueden desconectar 100%. El personal es super amable (Jefferson y Edward) y siempre están dispuestos a guiar y a dar referencias con respecto a los sitios turisticos del area. Los desayunos son muy buenos y no se diga el cafe que ellos ofrecen es riquísimo! Recomendamos el hotel un 100% y estamos seguros que la proxima vez que volvamos a San Agustin nos alli nos quedaremos!!

Inflexibilidad y manejo inadecuado de las reservas

El servicio es bueno en general. Al final fueron poco amables, no colaboraron con un cambio de reserva de la última noche, no nos dieron el desayuno que ofrecieron por salir a las 4 am, no me dieron factura, ni me la enviaron al correo. Que pesar, tratan de ser amables, pero es apariencia. El sitio es muy bonito, el primer piso tiene mucho ruido de los huéspedes del 2 piso

Das Hotel liegt nur 200m oberhalb vom Archäologischen Park mitten im Grünen. Es es ist sehr ruhig und man hört unzählige Vögel. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und bemüht, das Essen sehr lecker.

Très bien situé à 5 minutes à pied du principal parc archéologique de San Agustin, cadre très calme et au milieu de la jungle, chambre simple et confortable, petit déjeuner complet avec un café succulent. Mention spéciale au personnel très aimable et pouvant renseigner sur toute la région et les visites possibles. Si vous vous rendez à Popayan en voiture, attention à la route principale qui est quasi impraticable sur une quarantaine de kilomètres, 120kms en 5 heures.

Inolvidable estància

Nuestra estadia en el hotel Huaka-yo fue realmente maravillosa. El hotel esta a solo 5 minutos andando del parque arqueologico, en un entorno tranquilo y muy agradable. El jardin del hotel es precioso, muchos arboles y muchos pajaros. Increïble lugar. El desayuno era gourmet, cafe recien molido, arepas de queso riquisimas, y productos naturales (pan, queso, zumos, fruta...) La comida del restaurante tambien muy rica. Finalmente, agradecer al personal del hotel, sobretodo a Jefferson, su atencion para que nuestra estadia fuera perfecta. Aunque llegamos al hotel cuando ya havien cerrado el restaurante, nos ofrecio unos sandwiches calientes muy ricos para cenar. Ademas, los tours que nos organizó fueron inolvidables. Muchas gracias por todo!!

Wonderful stay.

Room and bed were very comfortable. The water was hot and breakfast very good. The hotel is surrounded by very nice landscaping and beyond that beautiful rain forest. A short walk to the archeologist park and to town is walkable or an easy cab ride. My wife and I walked back to the hotel just for fun and we are in our seventies.

Great location. Short walk to San Agustin Archeological Park. Also the shuttle bus from the town goes to the park, a cheap and convenient way to get in and out of the town. Restaurant at hotel has reasonable selection of dishes at a reasonable price, freshly prepared and served with a smile. Staff very helpful to English speaking people. Good information provided electronically after booking. Great place and great staff!

Dieses Hotel ist einfach nur empfehlenswert. Der Service des Personals und die Freundlichkeit aller waren unschlagbar. Unsere Ausflüge und die Weiterfahrt mit dem Bus wurden durch den sehr hilfsbereiten, engagierten und kompetenten Jefferson organisiert, wir mussten uns um gar nichts kümmern. Das Hotel liegt abseits der Stadt mitten im Grünen, es bietet Ruhe und man kann sich nach der lauten und hektischen Großstadt sehr gut erholen. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort. Durch unseren Flug konnten wir leider nicht verlängern. Zu dem Hotel gehört eine eigene Kaffeefarm. Zum Frühstück wird der Kaffee täglich frisch geröstet und gemahlen serviert. Aufgrund unserer schlechten Erfahrungen mit der rabiaten Fahrweise von Taxi- und Kleinbusfahrern haben wir keine Jeeptour in der Gruppe gebucht, sondern ließen uns von Jefferson einen privaten Fahrer für den Tagesausflug organisieren. Der Fahrer fuhr sehr vernünftig, die Straßen sind teilweise unwegsam. Er hielt an, wo wir es wünschten. Die insgesamt eine Stunde Fahrzeit zum Salto de Bordones lohnt sich nicht. Es ist ein Rinnsal, welches man von Weitem sieht. Das schmackhafte Abendessen wird zu normalen Restaurantpreisen angeboten.

We had a 10 day road trip in southern Colombia and our 4 night stay in Huaka-Yo was the golden seal. What a fabulous facility and staff. It was easy to book a room for a group of 5 people with Huaka-Yo. In fact the two level room we got could accommodate 7 people! It had two bathrooms and lots of space. Nights were quiet and we were awaken with birds singing in the wooden area that surrounds the hotel. A large and delicious breakfast was included with the hotel rate: fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee, home made arepas and eggs or sandwich. Edward and Jefferson welcomed us each morning with a big smile, and were very helpful. Edward arranged for us two very good tours: a horseback riding and a jeep tour; both guides were very knowledgeable. Not having our own transportation was not an issue for us. The hotel is just a very short taxi ride from town and a very short walking distance to the park. The tours started at the hotel and ended wherever we wanted. So good was their customer service that given our early morning departure from the hotel they gave us a small breakfast take out for us to start our long 11 hour bus trip to Bogota! Thanks for such an awesome job. We will definitively go back.
