Awesome stay at an awesome hotel

It was one of the better experiences I have had from hotels worldwide. I can freely recommend a stay in this hotel, be it for business or pleasure. Absolutely awesome staff! Hotel very clean - it actually stands out. Can't wait to go back!

a great place to relax round the pool

friendly efficient check in, lovely room with fab sea view, efficient A/C which heated when necessary. had originally booked one night but so enjoyed myself ended up staying for three. property well maintained and small pool had enough shade to make relaxing and reading a book enjoyable. food in restaurant excellent and reasonably priced. thoroughly recommended

Staff were very welcoming. Pleasant outlook over Saldanha Bay. Hotel feels a little dated. Comfortable bed. Gym in desperate need for a revamp or dedicate more space and do a new one properly. Breakfast service good, but food selection could be better. Functional more than satisfying stay.

It’s a good 3 star hotel with lovely staff. With an injection of cash and more staff training (plenty available but lacking attention to detail) it could become a really good 4 star. The big let down was the poor shower and dated bathroom. But it’s one of those hotels that you just want to to do better

gr8 place to relax & dine

arrived around 14.30, quick friendly efficient check in despite having three separate one night reservations for next 3 days!, no lift but help wit luggage to room on 3rd floor which had super view and two double beds. pre pre-prandial glass of Sauvignon Blanc in comfy lounge overlooking bay, then dinner in restaurant which was tasty, filling and good quality (with a glass of Syrah which few restaurants offer). brekky next morning was scrummy and filling overlooking the bay. thoroughly recommended

The bathroom are so compact and lots of sillicon. Not great to have shower in the bath. Dinner was ok but at breakfast there was no spoons and serviettes on the table. I asked the waiter and he never came. i had to go look at the cutlery table and found only one spoon in the basket. The staff was ok.

My trip was amazing as I needed some time off to relax from my busy schedule. The hotel food was great! It will be helpful for hotel staff to check the rooms prior to guest arrival. We couldn't use the plugs due to a faulty socket. That was so disappointing as we couldn't make coffee nor charge our gadgets.

Wonderful bay views. Fun areas for kids. Excellent restaurant in terms of food and service. Very friendly and pleasant staff overall. The hotel is a little worn and torn and needs some maintenance and upkeep. But overall a good value for money.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, with stunning sea views. It’s a very child friendly hotel, we really loved their play park and games room. Our favorite space was the bar/lounge, wow it’s such a well decorated, relaxed environment with beautiful views, their cocktails are amazing too. The stuff is extreme friendly and very helpful too

Lovely hotel but very poor restaurant service

The hotel is bright, clean and the pool is terrific. The bar is excellent with very slow service. When we checked in we were given a room overlooking a sandlot in spite of booking months before and the hotel not being full. After a complaint we were moved to another section of the hotel which had a lovely view of the bay. The first night was quiet but the second and third nights were very noisy as the guests below us partied late and started drinking again in the early morning. The restaurant serves decent food but the service is appalling. The first night my husband was served the wrong meal altogether and the third night it took over an hour to get our orders even though there were only 3 tables with guests. No one apologized or offered a complimentary drink. We were repeatedly asked how things were and we should have been more honest but we did not want anyone to get in trouble The second night we went to Der Strandloper which was excellent. Overall we would not stay again.

Not such a pleasant experience.

Room 117 under the restaurant area. Very noisy early morning and late nights. Every fork being dropped and kids running up and down on the floor above can be heard. Staff moving chairs around does not make for peaceful sleep. Bathrooms need attention. Mould on walls. Extraction fan doesn’t work in bathroom. Family of 4 only 2 towels in bathroom. Still waiting on the other 2 towels. Limited menu for lunch and dinner. Basically same menu written on the black board of what’s available for 3 days. One member Rashida who stood out, very attentive. Overall lack of attention to detail. Passage carpets always dirty not much vacuuming taking place. Hotel has beautiful view but that’s about it.

Family friendly getaway

Family friendly and great location. Staff and management are amazing and trying to make a plan if you ask nicely. Even extended our stay. Restaurants or spas in the in the area are limited, but for a short getaway just lovely.
