「Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. 「Valèrie and her family were wonderful and very accommodating. The top floor of the property was wonderful for our stay and the house was beautifully presented. They were more than happy to share their recommendations for dinner, I wish we were staying longer, and would definitely return in the future.」
