Overall, a good hotel with a brilliant location. The room was cosy, with a comfortable bed. We booked a room with sauna access included. Upon arrival, we were told that we had private access to the sauna and were given a fob for access. We weren't told that access was subject to availability or that other guests could also use the sauna if they paid extra. We assumed that we had full access to the sauna throughout our entire stay. However, on one of the days, when we asked the staff to prepare the sauna, we were told that other guests had requested access, so we weren't able to use it. We spoke to the manager and asked her to update the terms and conditions or the wording on the booking information to avoid confusion for future guests. We just thought it would have been nice to be notified beforehand. We would not have booked that particular package if we had known that sauna access was subject to availability.

It's a nice, quiet location. Steps from the Louvre, shopping, and many wonderful cafes. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We stayed on the 5th floor, and when we got to our room, and opened the door, there was a winding staircase to get to our room. We are able-bodied, so it wasn't an issue, but carrying the suitcases was a bit of a challenge. Something to be aware of! It was warm the week we were there, and the air conditioning was not that strong. We were able to open the windows at night to get a breeze, so that helped. It wasn't a huge deal, just something else to be aware of. The bar has lovely drinks, and light bites. The water pressure in the shower was great, and the towels were the fluffiest I've had at a hotel in a long time. I would absolutely stay there again!
