"House was good with enclosed garden for the dog. The main down side was that there was only one restaurant within walking distance so had to cook in a lot more than expected. Overall a pleasant experience."

"We had a most interesting holiday at 1 boieldieu in Barneville Carteret. The house was just perfect with all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday. It was lovely being only a few steps away from the beach. Richard and Patricia were so helpful and we could leave our bike under cover in their shed This is a beautiful area with lots of quiet roads to cycle and the ride to Portbail was delightful on quiet smooth roads . There are so many places to visit nearby including the port of Carteret. We visited the Cite de la Mer in Cherbourg which has a superb Nuclear Submarine to explore, a very creative Aquarium and a display of the Titanic and its history. The D Day sites at St Mere Eglise and near Carantan are just superb and museum at Quineville show how difficult life was under occupation.
