The good and the bad. Honest review
We enjoyed our week at Fripp and this unit has it’s strengths but there are things you need to know. First off the strengths. Unit is nicely renovated with all new appliances although they are all “mini” since it is a small unit. The beds are comfortable. Overall clean but the floor unfortunately is not flat (bad idea for beach ) and the faux crevices between the faux wood boards collect micro sand so it was sandy when we came in and got worse throughout the week. There was no broom or vacuum so we had to borrow one from another unit. Broom didn’t help all that much honestly. The location is central. Steps from beach, steps from pool , steps from arcade , steps from ice cream , coffee, a restaurant , tennis courts , and adult pool/ bar area. So it’s busy but convenient to a lot. Unfortunately it’s proximity to the adult pool/ bar area makes it very noisy at night until 11pm. There was a loud band or karaoke every night we were there that penetrated the walls but it does stop promptly at 11pm. I was also caught off guard with the parking. There are literally 11 spaces for 32 units. Advice given to me from someone in another unit, which I followed was if you secure a space do not leave it for the week. Not sure where other people were parking, but I know of at least one other tenant that found parking somewhere and got a ticket. Parking instructions and options should be included in the instructions after booking. This is also relevant to golf carts. Overall good stay.
