"The Takeo Onsen Kyotoya is a traditional Japanese hotel. I wanted the tatami mat and futon experience and this property exceeded my expectations. I enjoy the older style of hotel as the nostalgia of the experience is valuable to me. The room and bath were well appointed and very comfortable. My room had a great view of an interesting rock formation on the top of a mountain nearby. The location is within a 10 minute easy flat and wide walk from the station. "Stayed one night with four people and it was very nice. The room condition was amazing and everything was very well kept and clean. The bathroom was very nice. Check in went somewhat smoothly. They could’ve sent me the check in info a bit earlier as I had to message them to get it, but they replied within the hour with the instructions. All in all, I believe it is worth the money, it’s not anything super extravagant but it’s a nice hotel."
