"the bathroom is tiny, If you are taller than 5'4" you may have trouble using the toilet. I travelled with my 80 years old mother and she had trouble getting in and out of the bathroom so we had to cancel the reservation and moved to another hotel. the staff there was so helpful and tried very hard to find us a place to stay in town with a bigger bathroom. "A small family-run guest house in Kami, which is a small town with few shops and restaurants. The onsen was located just off the main road thus considered convenient (for self drive). All guest rooms (with Japanese tatami) were located upstairs with narrow corridor, thus we couldn't bring luggage up but pack some overnight stuff instead. Luckily parking was just outside complex, so we could retrieve things as often as we like. We chose this Onsen as back up because our original booking was...

"The area itself it pretty beautiful, which helps a lot! The hotel has a good ocean view from the room (in my case) and from the breakfast area. Honestly, everything was pretty great! The pool is good, the breakfast is good, the view is good, the restaurants and izakaya inside the hotel are good as well. The only problem was the bedroom. The furniture is pretty old and the bed isn't so comfortable. Although it's a big bedroom with two beds and a sofa!"
