"We had a lovely week in this ancient, but brilliantly renovated cottage. Clean, cosy, but spacious, with a lovely log burner. Nothing about it was poky, and although there was only one room downstairs it was modern, and open plan, and we felt that we had masses of space - a family of four, plus dogs ! Perfect, sheltered garden, wonderful views, and within 5 mins of Leominster, and Bromyard - not much further to Hereford and Ludlow, although we headed to the hills of Kington, and Offas Dyke. Top Ross-on-Wye Hotel Reviews

Holiday Inn Gloucester-Cheltenham by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel and staff were exemplary. We had a fantastic stay and couldn’t have been happier with the service. Would happily recommend and return."

Queens Hotel Cheltenham

8/10 Good

"Beautiful hotel, excellent breakfast. Would have given five stars if there had not have been an issue where I was charged £56 parking for my one night stay, I questioned my bill to be told it’s a parking charge. I then asked how long do I get to stay, another lady said the charge was £17 and I was getting a refund. I was refunded the money with no apology just a mumbling about commission!"

The Kings Head Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We’re walking the Herefordshire Trail and stayed here for one night. I was a good choice. A lovely welcome. We had a delux room which was excellent and although facing the road it was quiet. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to walk around. Food in the evening was excellent, with a good menu choice. A good selection of cask beers brewed on site as Corn Brewery. Breakfast was excellent a good menu to choose from. All the staff were great. We highly recommend."

The Royal Lodge

8/10 Good

"Beautiful setting right on the river with a very friendly staff team and clean and well appointed rooms. It’s not luxurious but everything is thought through and it’s clean. Mattress on the bed was a bit worn - I could feel the springs a bit, so that could do with a replacement but it was a generally really comfortable and relaxed stay. Food was very good - very nice cooked breakfast and I had one evening meal which was very generous. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable and the staff were lovely, ensuring that I had everything I needed. Would return."
