First positives: The location is very convenient to the train station. The flat was very clean. Beyond those aspects, we were disappointed. Beginning at check-in when rather than meeting the host Catia, there was a man named Alex that met us at the door. Perhaps our first impression might have been different meeting Catia (previous reviews indicate such). Alex led us up to the apartment gave a hastened tour, literally saying “bedroom bedroom bedroom bathroom bathroom” as we walked down the hall. He then pointed to the thermostat and said “don’t touch!” That was the extent of explaining the apartment. No explanation of how the induction cooking top worked, the electric mocha pot or the clothes washer. We arrived at our scheduled time, 15:30. The housekeeper was still working in the apartment. This itself didn’t concern us. What did concern us was that, Alex, after the brief tour and having us deposit all of our luggage near the kitchen, instructed us gruffly, “Now you must go! You must go now, and you can return in 30 minutes”. We felt very uncomfortable with this (leaving our luggage). He gave us a key and insisted we leave. Upon returning we found they had not left a second key. There were four adults in our party with differing plans. We contacted the host and asked for a second key. They replied there was no other key because “a guest last year lost it”. This is ridiculous! We had to significantly alter plans, timing our returns so that no one would be locked out!
