"I loved the deep quiet, the charm of the place, the pictures of Dolly Parton, the design, the excellent communication from the host… I think it’s a wonderful place for people who are just passing through for the night, but I’m an artiswas here for a personal retreat (not just for a quick place to sleep for the night), and realized that there were some essential things missing that could have made this place so much more supportive for me and others who come to rejuvenate:The listing used the words “kitchenette” and “grill“. Time for dinner! No grill, and the only means of cooking in the kitchen was a microwave. To me, “kitchenette” means that I at least have a way to boil water… Ideally at least a hot plate. Fortunately, I travel with a camp stove & cookware, so I was able to cook my dinner that I was looking forward to having on my short retreat.I was also surprised that there was no soap or shampoo in the shower (I typically don’t carry these with me in my luggage), and was a also surprised to find a nice Keurig espresso maker… without any Keurig cartridges! I think it’s important to let guests know whether you have coffee available, and if you don’t provide coffee (which certainly seems easy enough to provide), at least let them know what kind of coffee maker you have. Finally, the place cost almost as much as the 4-star hotel I stayed in the night before—worth it with a few changes (above)I enjoyed the space because I came prepared. The host was excellent."

"This place was a great find at the last minute. Decorated very nicely and looks very new, has everything you need for a lengthy stay if necessary, quiet and out-of-the way yet still close enough to Nashville to make it a great stopping point for a longer trip north or south, or just to visit Nashville itself. "

"Upon arrival, code to the door was not working and it took over 40 minutes for host to respond. One bed had dirty linen on it, but we fixed that problem by throwing it in the washer. Other than that, the house was nice."

"Had a lovely stay! Forgot to mention to the host that the ceiling fan makes a creaking sound, so I kept it turned off. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Just know you have to really mash the button to turn it on and off. Sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of hot coffee from the well stocked coffee bar was the highlight of my stay. Beautiful views over the field! What a gem of a property!"

"There was no laundry or diswasher. Cottage was not clean. Pull out couch was discussing and my son had to just sleep on the couch. Nice and secluded but not very clean. Also the shower is only useful to small adults and children."

"It was a alright place to stay but the shower was horrible the water went all in the floor because the shower curtain did not fit right and when it rained it was leaking water in the bathroom "

"The pictures that is used to advertise is definitely old. The shower has mold on the wall and all under the mat. The heaters are too small and do not keep the room warm. The living room couch is broken and feels like it will fall through when you sit, secondary room bed needs to be thrown away as it has a LARGE dip in the center. TVs look and sound like they were bought off of temu or Alibaba. "

"We had a great time, home in nestled in the woods with a winter peek of the lake. I would think this would be a great place to vacation in the summer."
