"Very good room and no road noise despite being beside the A1. The food was good both the evening meal and especially the breakfast . The staff were very friendly and efficient"

"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"

"the lift was out of order, I have mobility issues so this was a big problem for me, our accommodation was on the second floor so there were lots of stairs. we didn't find the reception staff particularly friendly. The breakfast staff were really nice and helpful, also the breakfast was very good"

"We loved our stay in one of the lakeside cabins, the view was great and the room was very clean. Breakfast was perfect, coffees were great and the staff were very pleasant attentive to us throughout our stay. The evening menu looked lovely so I’d love to come back to the hotel to try the food on a night. We had some cocktails in the bar area once we returned from our meal and they had a perfect variety of classics and signatures so we loved testing a few of these. The girl on the bar was very helpful and friendly, gave great recommendations. Our only negative was the hot water - in the cabins we filled the bath for 20 mins as it says, then when we topped it up there seemed to be no more hot water left after running it for longer which was unfortunate but of course this didn’t ruin our stay as we still thoroughly enjoyed."
