"We stayed in room 228. Room itself was great but the hot water in bathroom was so hot it scalded my partners hands. A warning sticker may be a good idea to warn guests of this.
We also bought two single spirits with mixer and bill came to £19.70 which is very expensive even by hotel prices. "
"Our hosts were great, very friendly and informative. The breakfast was amazing!! The room was beautiful, clean with all of the amenities one would need."
"Such a brilliant find! Wonderful hosts, comfy bed, amazing house, HUGE breakfast selection and quiet location. We were only passing through for one night, but we will be back!
Not a single negative from us, but be aware that Disblair House is in the country and not walking distance to town.

"Check in was effortless with a nice chat with the receptionist. I had upgraded my room for this visit and it was really comfortable with a large bed and a coffee machine, but other than this the standard room I usually have is very good.
As ever I used the gym and the pool which are both really good for a hotel. Only problem was, as it's the school holidays the kids were enjoying themselves in the usually tranquil pool, lol. There is an adult only period in the pool from 7pm. Food and service in the restaurant was as good as ever. The hotel also has good size carpark which is charged for but not a big cost. This really is an ideal base for visiting Aberdeen. "
"We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our road trip. The hotel is in a residential area outside of the city centre but suited us perfectly. Parking was free which is a bonus these days. We received a warm welcome and were offered a quiet room at the end of a corridor as requested. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We ate at the hotel and the food was tasty. All in all a lovely stay. They were busy as it is a popular hotel for weddings, but it did not spoil our stay,"
"What a beautiful property! It is easy to see why it is a coveted wedding venue! We spent a single evening here and absolutely loved it. The building echoes with good time vibes of years past, with character carved into every facade, and the staff were amazing. Just the right amount of poise to make it opulent, but not offensive.
The entire grounds are meticulously kept, with massive mature trees, stunning flowers and local wildlife abounding. Despite being built in the late 1880’s, the rooms are very modern and clean, and with all of today’s luxuries. (Except ice- if you are a Canadian traveller, used to North America hotels that have an ice machine on every floor- you will be disappointed in the U.K. as we did not encounter a single hotel in England, Wales or Scotland that had ice readily available- however, at Norwood Hall it was available by asking at the bar or calling room service.)
We loved the quiet setting away from the city, the food was amazing, the staff were professional and the hotel itself was stunning. Would definitely stay here again, or recommend it to friends!"
"Amanda at reception at check in was wonderfully helpful at finding us the room as I had inadvertently booked the wrong date. She was understanding and cheerful. She deserves a big thank you. Also the food was delicious in the restaurant and staff delightful. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends. "
