Our one bedroom garden suite was spacious and brimming with classic charm of the tropics. Love this place and will definitely visit again. "

"Difficult to rate. Initially the property felt tired and busy but it grew on us over our 4 day stay and there is a lot to like about it. Relatively good value and the food offerings aren’t overpriced and service charges are shown inclusive in menus which made it easier. I think the cheaper Forrest rooms are better and I don’t think I would want to pay for the superior sea view ones as they were closely spaced and not as good in reality as pictures. "

"Datai is a unique hotel. Mostly hidden in rainforest the villas are quiet and secluded and the service is excellent.Our beach villa had everything, enormous living area, seperate bedroom area, pool and beautiful gardens. Datai beach is just through the garden gate, safe swimming and at this time of year we were often the only ones in the water. Our "butler" Nazif did everything for us, presenting afternoon tea, organising dining arrangements, buggies and much more. It was hard to find a reason...

"Wonderful retreat high in the rainforest. Transportation provided up or down the hill whenever requested and ready to take us up to our place as soon as we arrived. Staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Excellent restaurants and spa. Great location. Lovely beach across the road where Holiday Villa will sell you a wristband for about $10 to use their pool, facilities, beach and pool lounges, and give you a beer or soft drink.
