The location of this hotel was perfect for all the exploring we did in Quito. Miriam was so helpful, organizing transportation to and from the airport and giving a full description of the walking sites near by. The breakfast was really tasty and made for a great start to our day.

Our choice of the Hotel Basilica was inspired. The hotel is a heritage hotel, formally the family home of one of the heroes of the independence struggle of Ecuador. The staff on arrival were throughout ,welcoming, hugely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The location is stunning in the midst of the UNESCO Heritage old city of Quito. Many of the most important sites in the city are easily accessible by foot from the Hotel. The Hotel arranged extremely good pick up from the airport and drop off at the airport and departure. our room was immaculately clean and cleaned regularly with example with example supplies of coffee 24 hours available.

The hotel staff were amazing. So kind and helpful. The place is beautiful and well kept. Breakfast had fresh fruit, great coffee, eggs and different types of bread each day we were there. The shuttle service was super convenient and the driver was extremely friendly. When I come back to Quito this will be my first choice.

So happy found this gem in the Centro Historico. It’s located in easy walking distance to most of the sites of the Centro Historico. Miryan was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. Her staff were wonderful and kind and the Hotel is very clean despite being historic. Breakfast (included) each morning was coffee/juice, fresh fruit, fresh eggs and local bread pastries. We stayed in a *spacious* “family room” loft room with lots of wooden access - our 2 kids got to sleep in their own beds in the loft which was much better than a hotel where they’d have to share a bed!.Despite being on a city street the room was very quiet with new windows. The hotel can arrange for cars and tours if needed and has a small gift shop in addition. We felt safe throughout our stay and walking around the Centro Historico while stores were open. Miryan gave us some small parting gifts to remember our time in Quito by. Would highly recommend this hotel to travelers looking for location and charm with good hospitality.

The Hotel Basilica is great! It’s in an old and well-preserved building with courtyards, comfortable public spaces and lots of plants and art. It’s only a few minutes walk from all of the main sights of colonial Quito. The best part of Hotel Basilica is the staff. From beginning to end, we were greeted by name, given advice on places to go and treated like family members. Gracias Hotel Basilica!
