"Very nice hotel, beautiful garden, great location near the beach with bioluminescense. Wonderful night walk to this beach offered by very friendly staff member, who spoke perfect English and told us many interesting things. The hotel staff also helped us to organize a kayak tour and book a taxi - thank you! The only thing I didn't like was the receptionist adding a tip to our restaurant bill without asking us if and how much we would like to tip and without even informing us about it - I suddenly noticed the amount he was charging was not what we were expecting... Tips are fine, but I definately prefer to decide about them on my own. Apart from this detail, we had a great stay and will be happy to come back in the future. "

"Tolles und sehr sauberes Zimmer sowie eine geschmackvoll gestaltete, sehr besondere Anlage. Der Strand vor der Tür ist super und durch die vielen Liegen und Sitzsäcke ist es auch sehr convenient, diesen zu nutzen. Die Dachterrasse und der Pool dort sind unglaublich und man hat die Chance auf atemberaubende Sonnenuntergänge. Die Lage fanden auch top, obwohl (oder auch gerade weil) man nicht direkt im Zentrum ist. Man hat einen schönen Strand (viel schöner als die direkt im Zentrum) und ist trotzdem fussläufig (20 Minuten etwa) oder mit dem Rad (5-10 Minuten) recht schnell bei vielen netten Restaurants oder auch im Stadtzentrum. Die vielen negativen Kommentare zum Frühstück, den Fliegen etc. können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und lecker und es gab die üblichen Ventilatoren gegen die Fliegen. Auch haben wir nie länger als gewöhnlich auf irgendetwas gewartet, obwohl das Hotel voll war. "

"I loved La Palapa. The staff the cleanliness - the location is ideal! The maintenance staff keep it so clean. Raking the sand, wiping the wood down (polishing!) everything is immaculate. I loved my 10 days there and would not hesitate to book again. What a little gem. Intimate and picturesque."

"Walking distance from the beach (great sunset), this secluded, well designed and well kept little hotel is the best to relax and enjoy a serene stay. Good choice of background music throughout the day, comfortable rooms, awesome pool, great service by attentive and warm and welcoming staff. You don't pick this place if you want to be near everything. You choose this place because you like a harmonious and tranquil environment after a day of activities. Walking to the main part of the town is 30 minutes, which can be done walking on the beach at low tide, it is awesome. You can also bike if you want to get anywhere faster, but what is a vacation if not taking your time to discover? "
