Airport Honolulu Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"The staff are great. The rooms are spacious; housekeeping just never refills the body wash, shampoo, and especially the conditioner every time I stay there. Thats why I always buy my own stuff. Parking is quite expensive. Very expensive. Thats what always gets me. Other than that, its the oerfect location. You never get stuck in traffic coming back to the hotel."
"The view from this property was amazing and having the kitchenette was so nice to help us cut down on food costs. The lobby is also lovely, the banana bread is yummy and the amenities like kayaks and music are very helpful. This peaceful spot is lovely. I'm not crazy about being awake by roosters but I found them and the chickens roaming free, kind of cool. The front desk people were lovely and helpful. The down sides are the lack of parking, even though you are paying for the parking and thin walls so we heard every word our neighbor uttered. Its about a 30 minute drive to Wikeekee and an hour to the north shore. You definitely need a car because there is no way to walk anywhere. So if you are looking for a beautiful spot to chill and enjoy the amenities, I would definitely recommend it."
Best Western The Plaza Hotel Honolulu Airport - Free Breakfast
4/10 Poor
"Of the two mediocre options near the airport, this option is most lacking . Air conditioning not operating in my room (temp never got lower than 79), stained bathroom towels, two bottles of conditioner without any shampoo. All adds up to a definite lack of care evident at the property. "
"They give you free museum tickets at one of the best museums I’ve ever went to, very extra clean this is my 5th trip to Hawaii and I only stay at this hotel. Very close to everything around "
"Check in process was okay. garage parking was confusing only upon entering. couldn’t see stall numbers too clear it was dark. Garage has its own elevators and the suites has its own. The check in office is in a 3rd set of elevators. The room was clean and very spacious wow! Floor 40 has spectacular city and ocean views! Washer/Dryer was great to have but do not load more than a small sized load or it will spin so hard and sound like it will explode and this was a medium sized load not even heavy. Gain detergent provided. Blackout drapes were nice. Two sets of towels on entire bathroom. No hand towels or paper in kitchen. No dining tabl place mats. The walls are not paper thin however you do hear noises. Standard bathroom amenities in small travel sized containers. The Palmolive dish soap in kitchen was for sure watered down. No dishwasher detergent. Missing rice spatula. Clean fridge and stove/oven. Bed creamed loud, headboard loose every move in bed I made the headboard would hit the wall. great smart TV switched rooms at first as tvs didn’t work. First night fire alarm pulled middle of night wasted 40 flights down just to be told was false alarm. Ac is great but had recurring fan noises in bedroom vents. Elevators require room fob scanner to go up and can only go to your specific flr. Overall, nice stay not too bad but it was my first time staying at this place usually stay at Aston sunset or banyan in South Waikiki and honestly, probably going to go back to Aston Banyan."
"Loved our time here at this VRBO! Especially the privacy of the beach, being around the locals, and the location for all our excursions. The only thing that was tough was the lack of AC. Pro-tip: open the back AND front door to really get the breeze going! They stocked the place with bug spray, sunscreen, scuba gear, beach chairs, beach towels… it could not have been better! I did not want to leave. Definitely try and wake up early to catch the sunrise and turtles on the beach at least one of your mornings!"
"I believe that the house keeper did not clean the room and change the bedding before we moved in because the bathroom floor was dirty and the pillow had perfume smell."
"The beach is so wonderful. It’s so close and so nice. The beds are comfortable and the space is cute and clean. For my three kids and me, the space was big enough. But it would be too small for four adults. "
