The Carriage House is a beautifully decorated one bedroom, one bathroom apartment located on the property of the famous Villa Estrella Mar. Just minutes from the center of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta in a residential area, a minute to the beach down a long private stairway, the location is hard to beat.

The beautifully decorated apartment consists of a living room and fully equipped kitchen, a desk in case you need to get any work done during your stay, as well as the bedroom with a king size bed, and ensuite bathroom. There are is a terrace that looks out to the Villa and the Bay and a second enclosed terrace off the bedroom. The best part is, you aren't in a condo complex so you can have complete privacy.

We make sure to have a few cold drinks available on arrival to start your vacation off right.

There is daily maid service with staff who will do any laundry free of charge!

Ask to be connected to our amazing concierge who can assist with booking in unit massages, fun activities, transportation, meal or grocery delivery, you name it!

Can also be rented with Villa Estrella Mar to provide additional sleeping for two.

Great stay!

We loved staying at the Carriage house. It had great access to the beaches, our favorite was walking along the water to Conchas Chinas beach and then stopping back at Amapas beach before heading up the stairs. It was also very relaxing to walk home on the beach after grabbing dinner in town and witnessing all the various festivities happening in PV.

Lovely private place close to everything

We enjoyed the setting. The house is private with great views, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The staff are great. The free daily laundry service is wonderful! The only downside is the crazy amount of steps to/from the beach. You need to be in moderately good shape to navigate thateasily

The absolute BEST place to stay!!!

We love staying in this area! We’ve been 4 other times with: children, grandparents, and friends, but this is the first time that we have stayed in Amapas as a couple. There couldn’t be a better place than this. Incredibly close to every place you wanna be! Wonderful Mexican decor. Super quiet (it’s nice being on the downhill side of the highway). Also, very safe and affordable. They were very responsive, but also gave us our privacy. We will 100% stay here again. It was truly an amazing vacation, and it had a lot to do with.the lodging.

Wonderful Place

We stayed in the carriage house and it was absolutely perfect for the two of us. There is a private walkway down to the beaches and everything was taken care of for us. I would absolutely return and stay here again.

What an absolute joy this property was. So beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Puerto Vallarta. Quiet location but so close to everything you could possibly need. Will be back no doubt!

This is a wonderful place. It was very spacious, had comfortable furniture and lovely decor. We loved the private balcony and quiet neighborhood. The staff were amazing and so helpful. They really made you feel comfortable and welcomed.

Excellent location close to Roamtico Zone

Cute Cottage House steps (although MANY steps... lol) from the beach. Excellent views. Houseman, Paco, was very helpful. Host, Jordan gave an excellent recommendation for a birthday dinner (La Campella) and was very responsive. Looking forward to staying again.

Excellent location

Beautiful small villa in a very walkable location. The daily cleaning and laundry service were very nice amenities. The only downside is the noise from the Villa next door and from the construction during the day that started early. Also the furniture is beautiful but just not comfortable for lounging or even having dinner in the Villa.

Lovely, peaceful stay near PV's highlights

The Carriage House was a lovely and very comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to easily walk along Playa de Los Muertes into the Romantic Zone for restaurants and sightseeing. We really enjoyed the small, relatively quiet beach at the foot of the private stairway. However, we didn't check out the waterfront walkway south of the beach until our last day; it's well worthwhile exploring as well. Staff were very friendly and always on hand as needed for questions and help. Laundry service was greatly appreciated! One caution: Be careful to keep any food/fruit in cupboards or the refrigerator. A saucy squirrel entered the suite several times during our stay and even helped itself to a banana and mango left on the counter! Thanks for the lovely stay, Jordan and Villa staff!

Relaxing

The pictures do not give this place justice. A little out of town which was what we wanted, but close enough. Easy walk to town. We had a nice time while relaxing. The staff very nice and helpful. Drank our coffee in the balcony very day and planned our daily activities. Daily walks to the beach to see the amazing sunsets. This place is a gem!!!!

I recommend you stay here

Clean, comfortable, very nice. Paco and the entire staff were super nice. We felt safe and well served. Paco would arrange taxis for the short 5 min trip downtown. Easy to get a taxi back with Paco's business card. AC worked great and stayed surprisingly cool when we turned it off. Casa Ley Supermarket was open until 10 pm.

Upscale neighborhood

Nice decor, spacious bedroom and bath. The only downside was that the living room furniture not that comfortable. We walked to the beach every morning, got beach loungers at the El Dorado, then took a taxi home … rather than walk up the 195 steps. Jordon was very responsive and the onsite staff super helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the carriage house.

Very nice condo with awesome view. Large bedroom and bath. Comfortable sitting area. This condo does not have a balcony. Also a bit of a hike to town. Those were my only negatives. Otherwise, a great place to stay. We never closed one door or window. The night air cooled the condo perfectly.

Beautiful, private property in perfect location

The Carriage House did not disappoint-it is exactly how it is represented in photos. The staff was very welcoming yet allowed us our privacy. From the moment we stepped onto the property, Arturo was there to let us in and show us where everything was (and made himself available throughout our stay). Oscar was beyond accommodating, answering our questions immediately and constantly bringing us cold drinks! The daily laundry service was a blessing; I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to not have to do laundry upon our return home. Magali cleaned daily, brought us plenty of fresh towels, and even turned paper towels and toilet paper into little works of art. The property is located in a quiet cul de sac off of Calle Santa Barbara. We had zero issues with excessive noise, and it was particularly peaceful at night, even with a party at the Villa. Access to Amapas and Conchas Chinas beaches was easy, and the location gives you the best of both worlds...an easy walk into town via the beach or 200, yet far away enough from the city for quiet nights. Uber rides were cheap, and we had everything we needed for our stay...all appliances worked and it is the perfect space for two people. The A/C worked well. We visit PV every year and have never felt unsafe anywhere that we have stayed, but The Carriage House felt exceptionally secure with Arturo on duty at night and the security gate in front of the stairwell to the apartment that locks. We will definitely be back!

Peace & Quiet

Very comfortable apartment with attentive (but unobtrusive) daily housekeeping; consistent re-supply of linens; comfortable bed; working appliances, air conditioning etc. Secure location. Five to ten minute walk to central areas of Zona Romantica. Downhill into town; uphill returning from town. We were able to do a lot of our own cooking but resupply from nearby grocery stores was best accomplished with a cab-ride back up the hill. We have rented short term apartments in several Mexican cities and this place compares very favorably with others. It is appropriately priced for the location and quality of the accommodation and services.
