We enjoyed every minute of this property and throughly enjoyed how quiet, exclusive, safe, and faraway we were from downtown Rocky Point (30 minute drive). My husband and I traveled as a family with Grandma, a teen and tween and our two chihuahuas. We planned and stopped at Sam’s ahead of time (much advised to stop before going to the house to avoid drive time) and we made guacamole and had fresh fruit available. We enjoyed the estuary on the days there was a high tide and the kids caught small crabs. We enjoyed the pools outside and the outdoor shower. It’s pure luxury for Mexico (safe water, flushable toilets, 24 hour security) and we also enjoyed having resort access to the Mayan w/ a swim up pool bar, lazy river and a beautiful beach. We found this house to an absolute, hidden gem and we are incredibly grateful that the owners rent out their home for other families to enjoy. Note for families with toddlers/small children; there is a winding open staircase to the roof (awesome for star gazing, tweens/teens and adults!) and the sliding glass doors open up to the outside non gated pools (two pools! 😀), but the yard is fully enclosed and fenced in. This home was a perfect place for us to relax and spend quality time together as a family. I also loved being able to do our laundry. It may be helpful to know that we were able to use our credit/debit card and cash with no issues at all and most everyone spoke English. It’s a 30 minute drive, but we LOVED eating at Santo Coyote Ocean Cantina for dinner. Note that this is in another hotel and reservations are required (they give you wristbands), so call ahead of time, but we celebrated my birthday and it was the most special birthday celebration I’ve ever had at a restaurant. They performed a private, birthday ritual for me that involved my entire family at the table. Very special and unforgettable. 🥰
