While the location is a 10/10 and the price was fairly okay, our expectations on cleanliness were definitely not met. The whole reason I booked was for the cleanliness compared to other hostels, but the private room we booked had a number of questionable substances stuck to the wall, and the private bathroom was def not cleaned very well. When we tried to check out early, we were met with a lot of hostility from staff for loosing a key card. I would recommend staying in a bordering neighborhood instead if you want a quality stay for less dough. We ended up staying in Lochrin instead paying less at Premier Suites Edinburgh Fountain Court. Sure, I wasn’t 2 seconds from the royal mile anymore, but the 15 minute walk from our new stay was really lovely, and I found pieces of Edinburgh I completely fell in love with that I would have otherwise missed.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Period.

The worst part of my stay is their policy of checking people in at all hours. There were nights when people walked into the room at 1:00am, turning the light on and waking everyone up. Also, their dining facility was not set up to handle the large student groups that arrived. All food and beverage was gone by 8am.

Recently refurbished hotel offering an elevated stay in Kirkcaldy. The hotel has a more country feel, but is on major bus routes if you want to leave the car behind. Hotel seemed busy which is always a good sign, food and drinks were of good quality. My only gripe was there was a lot of audible door slamming in the morning, which might annoy some. I guess the fire doors need to be where they are, but they are noisy. Overall though a decent place to stay in Kirkcaldy.

A little gem tucked out of the way so you get peace and quiet without being far from good roads leading to Alloa, Stirling and the motorways. Great breakfast and wonderful staff.
