Botanique Hotel Prague
5/5 Excellent
"I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Botanique, Prague, and would happily return. The check-in process was seamless thanks to online registration — all that was needed on arrival was a quick passport check.
The King Executive Room was spacious, comfortable, and well thought out. It had multiple, conveniently placed sockets — including USB and USB-C ports — and a comfortable seating area perfect for relaxing with a coffee. The bed was cosy (though I’d have preferred a firmer pillow), and the bathroom featured a great rainfall shower. The free minibar, stocked daily with beer, soft drinks, and juice, was a lovely touch.
The location is excellent, with tram and bus stops right outside and metro lines A and B just across the road. There are several supermarkets and food outlets (Costa, McDonald's, kebab, pizzeria) within a short walk.
What really stood out was the hotel’s genuine commitment to sustainability. This isn’t lip service — they’ve removed single-use plastics, favour glass and tin packaging, use bamboo room cards and recycled toilet paper, and offer to plant a tree for each day you decline housekeeping. These small but significant steps make a real impact.
One lift was out of service during my stay, which caused minor delays at peak times, but overall, this didn’t detract from a truly enjoyable and environmentally conscious stay."
