"Hotel is right next to the train station. Staff very nice and helpful. Room was a little dated, but it worked fine for one night. Room was comfortable in the winter. I would consider staying here again. "

"It was an older hotel and very nice with the remodel. It was expensive but a good price for the area. Great location and close to the ski-lift and restaurants/shops. Be prepared to walk hills and steps and if you’re coming from the train station, get a taxi if you have luggage!"

"Booked this hotel for the first night of our trip on the Bernia express. Located about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station it was an amazing hotel. The room we were allocated was in an outer building which was easy to access. The room was spotlessly clean, very spacious with all amenities. The hotel must have had a refurb as you could still smell the new carpets and fresh paint work. The bath was very stylish with everything you could need. If I were visiting Tirano again I would stay here again."

"The hotel was very expensive for what it was. The rooms were nice but in need of some modernisation, especially the bathrooms. It also irked me that all of the decent facilities were in the sister hotel which we’d have rather stayed at. The staff were all lovely but some of the information we were given turned out to be wrong and when we had an issue with a private taxi they had booked for us they weren’t helpful at all. The also didn’t tell us that there would be works going on during our stay which included the table and chairs being removed from the lobby and the carpet being covered! "

"Everything about the Hotel Stelvio was great. A lovely welcome when we arrived and a spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. (And a lovely view of the mountains!) The bathroom was spotless too. Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food and there was also a great selection of teas available. The location was great, about 7 mins walk from the train station. We would definitely stay here again when in Tirano. "

"Great until the last hour. We reserved the hotel to train station shuttle then the driver had to apparently do something else which meant he arrived back 15 minutes later and needed his mandatory lunch break. They arranged a taxi for us but that resulted in a 25 minute delay. No apology at all. As a result, we missed our appointment in town. "
