From London, you can also get a bus straight to the port or take a train to the nearby train stations of Portsmouth Harbor or Portsmouth & Southsea. From these spots take a taxi to the port.

Visit the fascinating seaside town of Portsmouth. It has one of Britain’s main naval bases as well as many historical and current attractions showcasing the area’s naval history, including boats, museums and quays. If you have time, walk south 0.7 mile (1.1 kilometers) to the Charles Dickens Birthplace Museum to learn about the life and works of the iconic British author.
