If you enjoy the arts, take a stroll along the floodwall murals which depict the history of the area, see a show at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts on the campus of Shawnee State University, or see an exhibit at the Southern Ohio Museum and Cultural Center. Interested in shopping? The shops along Second and Market Streets offer antiques, clothing, and more. While there is a full kitchen for cooking your own meals, there are several locally owned restaurants (many within walking distance) if you want someone else to do the work. Portsmouth, Ohio is the childhood home of Roy Rogers. This cowboy themed space is a great place for you to call home during your visit to Portsmouth and the Historic Boneyfiddle area. The rustic finishes give an old west feel and the location provides convenient access to much of what the area has to offer.
