Nestled atop the slopes above the Tualatin River resides one of the more unique and special escapes the region has to offer. Please note this location sits on a piece of property where there is another two bedroom retreat (The Cedars at Rivers Edge), a long term residence, and even a small business office above. While any of the locations you stay at, your privacy is completely respected, however there may be other activity in the area including at the incredible shared areas such as the oversized hanging iron fire-pit or the meandering stairs leading to the property's Tualatin River dock. Due to the geographical setting, we do ask that there are not kids under 12 as the drop-off to the river below could be quite hazardous for kiddos.

Marv's Place is a fantastic one bedroom retreat. Every aspect has been renovated, upgraded, and furnished to create that perfect blend of comfort and style. One epic feature is the 275 square foot outdoor covered patio / living space. It boasts an enormous fire table and outdoor seating. The huge TV is perfect for streaming while taking in the sights and sounds of this incredible property. There is also a built in BBQ for all your grilling desires.

Back inside, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen and cozy living area. The bedroom area has a TV as well when you are ready to wind down the day. After a night of restful sleep, take your time and relax and recharge in the huge bathroom with walk-in shower. The washer and dryer is there as well if you need.

As you will see in the center of the courtyard area, sits a large fire-pit, which is a shared community space with the other two bedroom guest home. The entire space is surrounded by trees and the Tualatin River sits just a short walk beyond and down the ramp to the floating dock. Also as we mentioned earlier there is a small office above Marv's Place so people may come and go throughout the day. There is ample parking available for guests on the property as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.

PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $50 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $150 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. Failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **
Pets must remain on a leash at all times when outside on the property.

Wonderful Honeymoon Stay

We had a magical time staying here for our honeymoon. The atmosphere was serene and beautiful, the amenities were fantastic. There is a business on the upper floor of the building, so that had to be kept in mind during the day. The hosts were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. It all added up to a perfect stay!

Wonderful Place!

We came to celebrate His mom’s 89th birthday. This was the perfect getaway at the end of each day to rest and regroup. We loved the space and it had everything we could have wanted including ambiance. The area is quiet and serene.

Lovely property in a great location.

Very friendly owners, available for any questions or needs. The property is absolutely gorgeous. It was so relaxing sitting out on the porch, drinking coffee on a cool morning with the fireplace keeping us toasty, and hearing the river below. The rental was beautiful inside, clean and well appointed. West Linn is a fun little town nearby with lovely little restaurants and shops.

Great place to relax in nature

Just WOW.

Jen and Tim have an amazing place here, nestled in the trees, on the bank of the river. The place is clean and modern and comfortable, and includes the best outdoor seating with TV, bbq, and gas fire. We will surely be back!

We enjoyed a great weekend at Marv’s place! It was well stocked, super clean and very comfortable. We loved the outdoor area where we could just sit back, relax and enjoy the firepit and fresh air! The homeowner was nearby and couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating! We will be back.

Wow! What an Amazing Trip

We really enjoyed this VRBO! The communication was great from the time I booked the reservation. Tim was an amazing host and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. The facilities were perfectly adequate for our needs, and we used them all. I was there for a culinary chef’s trip, and we were able to successfully prep many of our catering items, right on site, including the patio grill. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I hope to return with the kids, and book this one again.

A Little Gem!

Marv's Place is a little gem tucked away off of the highway and near the Tualatin River. The cozy, cute, and well decorated 1 bedroom is stocked with everything you could need. From lovely cookware, a Keurig, extra charging cords, and nice bath amenities, it was a perfect spot for a couple of nights. It is part of a small group of other offerings and it would be great to rent all three of the units as a group during a summer outing. Gorgeous outdoor spaces with fire pits and a lovely grill area. Unfortunately this was a super cold February stay for us, so we were not able to enjoy the outside. We would love to return.

A great place for a get away

My husband, our dog and I stayed here for a week for our daughters wedding. The setting of the house is beautiful. We enjoyed the outside area with the fire pit and tv. The home is very well equipped and we had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had and communication was great. It is a very small space but they have done very good with furniture for storage and we had plenty of space for our long stay. I was a little worried about the bathroom not having a door on it so I brought a tension curtain rod and panel curtain to hang in the doorway. Problem solved. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Pretty home, but noisy and no bathroom door

This home is beautiful, well decorated and clean but we left after 1 night for two reasons. 1) There is no bathroom door. From the bed you look right into the bathroom and can see the toilet. The bathroom and bedroom are practically the same room. It very strange for two people, and my husband and I just weren’t into it. 2) At 7am we were awoken by loud footsteps walking back and forth, and back and forth, in the office above the bed. Yes the listing says there is an office upstairs but 7am is too early for that much noise.

Hard to leave this sanctuary! The property is enchanting! Beautiful trees with places to gather outside. Stunning views! The place had everything you need. You will not want to leave! Convent to interstates so you can explore if you choose to do! The owners are top notch and so welcoming! It’s just perfect. We already have plans for repeat stay!

The best place to stay for the best blend of nature and convenience.

We wanted to stay where nature surrounds us and at the same time we wanted the convenience of having access to stores like trader joes and target. This property checked every single box we wanted and on top of that, the host went out of their way to accommodate us with the coordination of the management company. Thank you so much for the wonderful time, I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to oregon. We had the greatest time ever! Didnt mind the noises one bit.
