Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa
Underwhelming. This is a very ordinary hotel, despite the hot tubs, pool and spa. The decor is vile, all dull browns with turquoise. This hotel was ideal for my 2 night stay in Penrith. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and robes/slippers available for the pool and/or spa. Character Cottage with fabulous mountain views in the North Lakes District
Lovely cottage, idea base for walking in the Lakes. We stayed in February, with snow on the ground. The view of Blencathra is stunning and the heating in the cottage made us feel very cosy.
