「If one is interested in "glitz", the Oloffson is not your place. It is very full of history (read Graham Greene's The Comedians, set here during Duvalier years). The place and rooms are unique, clean, certainly functional and with fascinating grounds.」

「The hotel is located near the seaside walk in the old part of the town. Although some buildings in the area collapsed in the 2010 earthquake, the atmosphere remains historic and appreciable. The hotel is also old, but in good conditions. I liked the calm artistic restaurant. In the room I stayed, there were several mosquitos as well as gaps between doors for more mosquitos to enter. When I asked for solution, the hotel sprayed insecticides. I found it effective. Thank you.」

「I found the atmosphere really relaxing, feeling soft breezes and hearing sounds of waves reaching the beaches. Hotel staff are nice. An only unfortunate incident was that the hotel hadn't reserved the room I asked for and tried to charge me for the difference at check out . For this, I had to negotiate and lost 30 minutes. 」
