Great staff, lovely and beautiful place but for a couple nights not for a lengthy stay. There were few issues with their AC it isn’t 24hrs, some of the rooms didn’t have lighting due to electrical issues, the steps kept flooding with water due to the AC malfunctioning. The breakfast is good but everything else like their lunch and dinner were highly disappointing. The food contained lots of salt, overall it was a lovely stay we enjoyed our stay staff were friendly and welcoming just those issues that took away from enjoying the lovely hotel completely.

You cannot have a hotel and you have no backup generator you're dying and close early there's no way for food you cannot have a hotel when you have just the door to come in one window which is located in the bathroom no other windows to let air in.

Good atmosphere

I found the atmosphere really relaxing, feeling soft breezes and hearing sounds of waves reaching the beaches. Hotel staff are nice. An only unfortunate incident was that the hotel hadn't reserved the room I asked for and tried to charge me for the difference at check out . For this, I had to negotiate and lost 30 minutes.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Cyvadier, and it’s a place I would come back to. All of the staff including the restaurant and bar as well as maids are very friendly and accommodating. The fire of the ocean is beautiful. The environment is very peaceful and serene. My only complaints is that they turn off your air conditioning from 7am-7pm so it can get very hot throughout the day. They also kept turning off our water throughout the day each day so every day we had to request them to turn on the water if we needed to shower. There was both hot and cold water at the shower. They also will provide transportation to and from the airport if you request on WhatsApp. Overall it is a nice stay but it would be nicer if they would let you control the AC and water.

Beautiful property with an amazing view

The property itself has amazing views of the ocean. Depending on your room location, you can in fact lull yourself to sleep listening to the ocean waves. A beautiful thing! The restaurant has some of the best food I've experienced & I travel frequently so that's saying a lot. Kudos to the chef here, especially the lobster! Delicious! The property, rooms, social areas/common areas, restaurant are all very clean & neat. Housekeeping staff are also very kind & welcoming. If you are a solo female traveler, book the Queen room or a suite as it's on the second floor so there's a sense of safety. I don't stay in first floor rooms anywhere I'm traveling solo simply because of that sense of safety on an upper floor as opposed to first floor. Having said that, the property is very safe. There was a bit of a miscommunication about this (being a solo female traveler & being on the first floor. It *is* what I booked not realizing the room was on the first floor & when I expressed my concern, it wasn't understood that that was my concern when I asked for a second floor room). The front desk associate simply thought I didn't like the initial room, not the case. We got it all worked out & all was well! Definitely give this property a stay. Well worth it! Haiti is magnificent! And Jacmel is a gem!

Wonderful

It was a very nice and clean property. The property is a 10-15 minute drive to the center of Jacmel. The ocean view was beautiful from the property. Perfect for a sunset romantic dinner. However, you can’t go in the water. It’s just too choppy and unsafe. Another down side, none of the rooms had televisions. My husband was looking forward to watching the NBA games and was highly upset to discover there was no television in the room. They do offer a television near the bar area. The food was over priced but delicious. I had the lobster which was to die for. The staff was polite and professional. Felt the bar lady was being over worked. She served as a bartender, waitress and she was cleaning the common areas. They should get more staff to assist. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Great for the Province

Great for a province location in the country side. Random routine power outages and a whole day with no WiFi. Overal I enjoyed my stay but prepare for these. No tv in rooms my guy was not pleased 😂 couldn’t watch the games.

Excellent stay!

The stay was very relaxing and excellent. The staff wal very friendly and helpful. During a rain storm, my room had a small leak in the ceiling, and the staff helped me move to an upgraded room. The views and grounds are beautiful and the food was excellent at breakfast and at other meals tat we purchased. The location is near to the public beach up the road where you can buy an excellent fresh fish lunch, and within easy range of Lakou New York in Jacmel - entertainment, shopping, and food.
View from the main grounds.
