"Did not eat at the restaurant, as I was told I could not take pictures. Went across the street and had a lovely meal Everyone else was nice, but I cannot recommend the restaurant due to the staff"

"Very effusive welcome at check-in and help to park. Junior suite room very spacious, bed large and comfortable, I liked my pillow, OH didn’t like his. Room and bathroom clean. Hardwood floors meant wilderbeest occupants of room above kept us awake at all hours; must be migration time. Breakfast plentiful with many good things (including Prosecco) but real juice is extra, very odd. Best to stick to Italian breakfast ingredients IMO. Lucca is very compact within the walls so nowhere is very far to walk but this is a well located hotel very close to the famous San Michele. It isn’t an “excellent” hotel in the luxury category but it is very competitively priced and good value."
